자기 리더십향상 프로그램이 고등학생의 자아개념과 사회성에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Self-Leadership Development Program On a High School Students' Self-concept and Sociality

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 자기 리더십향상 프로그램이 고등학생의 자아개념과 사회성에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 구체적인 연구 문제는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 자기 리더십향상 프로그램이 고등학생의 자아개념에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가?
둘째, 자기 리더십향상 프로그램이 고등학생의 사회성에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가?
경상북도 구미시의 일반계 고등학교 1학년을 대상으로 각각 31명을 연구대상으로 선정하여 실험 집단과 통제 집단으로 선정하였다. 실험 전에 자아개념과 사회성 검사를 두 집단에게 모두 실시하였다.
연구과정에서 실험 집단에게 김미숙(2009)의 리더십 특성 중 내적 특성을 자기 리더십의 구성요소로 규정하고, 선행연구의 자기 리더십 프로그램을 참고로 하여 본 연구자가 구안한 자기 리더십향상 프로그램을 주 2회, 매 회당 50분씩, 총 12회 실시하였다. 그리고 자기 리더십향상 프로그램을 마친 후 두 집단 모두에게 자아개념과 사회성 검사를 재실시하여 실험 전후의 결과를 통계 처리하고 분석하였다.
통계 처리는 기술통계(평균, 표준편차)와 다변량 공분산 분석(MANCOVA)을 사용하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 자기 리더십향상 프로그램을 적용한 실험 집단은 통제 집단에 비해 자아 개념이 유의한 수준으로 증가하여 자기 리더십향상 프로그램이 고등학생의 자아개념을 향상시키는 데 효과적임을 보여 주었다. 외적 자아개념의 하위 영역으로는 성격적 자아와 내적 자아개념의 하위 영역으로는 자아동일성과 자아행동에서 유의한 결과가 나타났다(p<.05).
둘째, 자기 리더십향상 프로그램을 적용한 실험 집단은 통제 집단에 비해 사회성에 유의한 수준으로 증가하여 자기 리더십향상 프로그램이 고등학생의 사회성을 향상시키는 데 효과적으로 보여졌다. 사회성의 하위 영역으로는 근면성, 수용성, 준법성의 영역에서 유의한 결과가 나타났다(p<.05).
이상의 연구 결과 자기 리더십향상 프로그램은 고등학생의 자아개념과 사회성을 증진시키는 데 효과가 있으며, 청소년기에 리더십의 잠재력을 개발하는 것이 청소년들의 자아개념을 긍정적으로 확립시켜주고 자신감을 고취시켜 나아가 자율성과 책임감 있는 건전한 성인으로 길러주는데 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The Purpose of this study was to test the effects of the self-leadership development program on high school students' Self-concept and sociality. The following were the hypotheses.
First, Self-leadership development program would be effective in encouraging high school students' self-concept.
Second, Self-leadership development program would be effective in promoting high school students' sociality.
To prove such hypothesis, this study examined 62 tenth graders from two classes in a high school of Gu-Mi, Gyeongsangbuk-do, 31 for an experimental group and 31 for a controlled group. Before the test, all the students took tests of self-concept and sociality. Intrinsic traits of Self -leadership development program was devised by the programs of Kim, Mee-sook(2009). The self-leadership development program method was exercised 12 times on the control group; 2 times a week, 50 minutes each. After self-leadership development program was completed, two groups were retested in order to gather valid results. The statistics program, SPSS 17.0 for Windows was used to process the results with descriptive statistics(mean, standard deviation), and MANCOVA; Multivariate analysis of covariance.
The results were as followed.
First, the experimental group with self-leadership development program showed increased self-concept to a meaningful degree. Personal self among the extrinsic self-concept and self-identity and self-acting among the intrinsic self-concept were significant.
Second, self-leadership development program also proved its effectiveness in promotion of a student's sociality. When the relationship of the self leadership development program to sociability was investigated, it made a statistically significant difference to diligence, receptivity, law-abiding spirits at the .05 level of significance.
In conclusion, self-leadership development program was very useful in self-concept and sociality of high school students. It was certain that improving the teenagers' potential leadership would be affirmatively built up their self-concept and confidence. Moreover, we could expect that it played an important role in making autonomy and responsibility for teenagers.
