중증 지체장애아동 어머니의 양육스트레스, 사회적 지지 및 심리적 안녕감의 관계 = Relationship between the Parenting Stress , Social Support and Psychological Well-Being of mothers of the child with severe physical disability

국문 초록 (Abstract)

중증 지체장애아동 어머니의 양육스트레스,
사회적 지지 및 심리적 안녕감의 관계

본 연구는 중증 지체장애아동 어머니를 대상으로 하여 양육스트레스가 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향, 사회적 지지가 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 직접적인 영향, 그리고 사회적 지지의 조절효과를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 서울, 경기, 대전, 대구, 전주 지역의 만 12세 이하 중증 지체장애아동의 어머니를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 총 165부가 결과분석에 사용되었다.

본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 중증 지체장애아동 어머니의 양육스트레스 수준은 총점 180점을 기준으로 평균이 95.85로 나타나, 전문가의 개입이 필요한 심각한 수준을 보였다. 하위 차원별로는 부모영역과 부모-자녀 역기능적 상호작용, 아동 영역 스트레스 중 부모 영역의 양육스트레스 수준이 가장 심각한 것으로 나타났다.

둘째, 중증 지체장애아동 어머니의 양육스트레스가 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 양육스트레스가 높을수록 심리적 안녕감 수준이 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 양육스트레스의 하부차원에서는 부모영역의 양육스트레스만이 유의미하게 부적영향을 미쳤다.

셋째, 사회적 지지가 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 사회적 지지가 높을수록 심리적 안녕감 수준이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다.

넷째, 중증 지체장애 아동 어머니의 양육스트레스와 심리적 안녕감과의 관계에 있어서 사회적 지지의 조절 효과를 검증한 결과, 양육스트레스의 하위차원 중 부모영역과 부모-자녀 역기능적 상호작용이 조절효과를 나타내는 것으로 분석되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the parenting stress perceived by mothers of children with severe physical disabilities on their psychological well-being, and to look into main effects and a moderating effect of social support on their psychological well-being. The subjects of this study were mothers of the children of under the 12 years old with severe physical disabilities in Seoul, Gyeong-gi, Tae-jeon, and Jeon-ju area. The data was collected by self-report survey method. A total of 165 questionnaires were used for this study.

The major findings are as follows.
1. The levels of parenting stress of mothers of the children with severe physical disabilities averaged out to 95.85(of 180). This result showed that their parenting stress was on the intense level where some professional interventions are necessary. And the levels of parental distress recorded the highest among the subordinate dimensions; parental distress, parent-child dysfunctional interaction, and difficult temperament of child.

2. The analysis of the influence of parental stress on psychological well-being of mothers of the children with severe physical disabilities showed that the mothers with more parenting stress recorded lower levels of psychological well-being than those with less. Only parental distress had negative effects on their psychological well-being among the subordinate dimensions of parenting stress.

3. The analysis of the influence of social support on psychological well-being of mothers of the children with severe physical disabilities showed that the mothers with more social support reported higher levels of psychological well-being than those with less.

4. The analysis of moderating effects of social support on relations between parenting stress and psychological well-being of mothers of the children with severe physical disabilities showed that parental distress and social support, and parent-child dysfunctional interaction and social support had significant moderating effects.
