건강장애학생의 교육에 대한 병원학교 교사의 인식 특성 = A Study on the Recognition Characteristics of the Hospital School Teachers about Education for Students with Health Impairments

The purpose of this study was to investigate the hospital teachers' recognition characteristics on the purpose of education and the method of education for students with health impairments, and then, to investigate concretely the teachers' educational consciousness for students with health impairments throughout analysis the relationship of teachers' perception about the purpose and the method of Education.
In order to achieve the purpose of this study, 35 teachers for students with health impairments all over hospital school in Korea were asked to answer the questionnaire and 2 teachers for students with health impairments in the hospital school of Ulsan and Busan area were analyzed through in-depth interview for qualitative study.
The questionnaire was composed of items that were about examining of the teachers' recognition about the purpose of Education and the method of Education. This study was analyzed concretely the differences of teachers' recognition about Education to students with health impairments in the variables which include the teacher's gender, teaching experience, career of the hospital school and working pattern. Furthermore, this was found out hospital school teachers' educational consciousness someone who was in charged of health impairments students through qualitative study.
The results of this study were as follows;
First, it was found that the hospital school teachers' recognition about the purpose of Education to students with health impairments was generally good. Teachers were recognizing positively for the management of hospital school, regardless of the gender and the working pattern. But, in category of teaching experience, the analysis of teachers' recognition about the purpose of Education to students with health impairments was revealed that the teachers who has the teaching experience within 1 year to 5years or teachers who has various experience more than 16years, whose recognition about the purpose of Education to students with health impairments were higher than teachers who has the teaching experience from 6years within 15years. Also it was found that teachers who has career of the hospital school from 1year within 5years, whose recognition about the purpose of Education to students with health impairments were higher than teachers who has more than 6years career of the hospital school. As a result, it was showed teachers had lots of expectations, achievement goals and strong will of the management of hospital school during beginning special education teachers days.
Second, it was found that the hospital school teachers' recognition about the method of Education to students with health impairments was generally good. The hospital teachers directed their effort to various teaching methodology regardless of their gender, teaching experience and working pattern. But, in category of career of the hospital school, analysis showed that the teachers who has career of the hospital school from 1year within 5years, whose recognition about the method of Education to students with health impairments were higher than teachers who has more than 6years career of the hospital school. As a result, it was showed teachers applied various teaching method to students with health impairments for their comeback to normal school.
Third, it was found that the more teachers who took charge of students with health impairments had the recognition about the purpose of education, the more they had the recognition about the method of education. As a result of item analysis about recognition of hospital school teachers to the purpose of education and the method of education in hospital school, teachers showed a higher level of recognition. It was found that teachers thought much that the purpose of education for students with health impairments was students should grow up mentally through studying and playing. Furthermore, teachers should try to improve students' disability through harmonious development of being mentally and physically sound. In addition, the method of education for students with health impairments was guiding through implementing individualized education.
Forth, as a result of qualitative analysis on the recognition of the hospital school teachers for finding teachers, who took charge of students with health impairments, whose educational consciousness more concretely and deeply, teachers in hospital school thought the purpose of education for students with health impairments was school reentry ultimately. Besides, teachers was recognizing that the method of education for students with health impairments varied from students to students. Also it was set up amount of learning, direction of teaching guideline and learning time in consideration of health status, treatment schedule and treatment process of the students with health impairments.
