The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence on respiratory functions and body composition after participating in dance sports training. Subject for the research is consisted of people normally has no experience in regular exercise, and it was organized with dance sports exercise group of 7 obesed middled aged women with and non exercise group of 7 obesed middled aged women. Subjects were tested again 8 weeks later after the advance inspection for the maximum exercise load test by using the treadmill for leaning the respiratory capability and body composition test. In order to analyze the difference before and after the experiment for each group, the response sample for t-test was undertaken, and in order to analyze the difference of exercise group and subordinate variables (respiratory function and body composition), the one-way ANOVA was implemented. The research result is shown as follows.
1. Difference of respiratory function following the participation in dance sports training
Change of respiratory function following the participation in the dance sports displayed the noticeable difference of respiration exchange rate at the statistically noticeable level (P<.05) in dance sports participation group, but there was no showing of noticeable difference in maximum oxygen consumption volume, maximum respiration volume and maximum heart beat number.
2. Difference of body composition following the participation in dance sports training
Change of respiratory function following the participation in the dance sports displayed the noticeable difference in weight, bodily fat rate, and fat volume at the statistically noticeable level (P<.05) in dance sports participation group, but there was no showing of noticeable difference in abdomen fat rate.
Dance sports display positive effects on respiratory functions and body composition for obesed middle-aged women. Looking comprehensively for such a result, Dance sports have the characteristics as the aerobic excercise, not the dance for simply joy, and it is available for easily participate with more fun compared to other exercises.
