다문화미술교육 이론 및 동향에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는
문헌 연구를 통하여 다문화 미술교육의 이해를 돕기 위한 사전적 지식으로서 21세기 미술교육의 패러다임과 다문화 미술교육의 이론적 배경을 고찰해 봄으로써, 다문화 미술교육의 발생과 전개의 과정과 다문화 미술교육을 심도 있게 이해 할 수 있도록 하였다.
현대 사회에서는 정보와 이미지를 전달하는 대중 매체 및 통상의 발전으로 문화의 다원화, 세계화, 국제화가 급속하게 이루어지고 있는 것이다.
이러한 현대 사회에서 각국의 문화 경쟁력은 자국의 국력에 커다란 영향을 미치는 요인이 되었으며, 세계문명의 축은 인간의 질 높은 삶과 문화로 이전되고 있다. 이러한 현실에서 문화 경쟁력을 기르기 위해서는 무엇보다도 자국 문화의 정체성을 인식하고 발전, 계승시키며 다른 나라의 다양한 문화를 이해하는 태도가 선행되어야 할 것이다.
이를 위해 다문화 미술교육에 대하여 이론적 부분을 폭넓게 살펴보고 다문화 미술교육의 개념과 필요성, 교육의 내용에 대하여 많은 이론을 참고하여 소개하였다.
급 변화 되는 한국사회임에도 불구하고 아직도 다문화에 대한 교육의 필요성이나 교육프로그램이 미흡한 것이 현실이다.
지금 초창기인 한국의 다문화 교육은 아직 정립되지 않은 시행착오의 단계에 있음을 의미하기도 하지만, 긍정적인 사회적 담론을 형성해 나갈 수 있는 중요한 시기임을 의미하기도 한다. 다양한 여러 각도의 연구이론을 바탕으로 다문화 미술교육의 의미와 필요성이 어떻게 접근되고 있는지, 다문화 미술교육의 중요성을 다시 한 번 확인하여 그 동향을 알아보고자 한다.
