초등학교 기혼여교사의 양육효능감과 교사헌신과의 관계 : 심리적 안녕감의 매개효과 = The Relationship between Parenting Self-Efficacy and Teacher′s Commitment of Married Female Elememtary School Teachers : The Mediating Effect of Subjective Well-Being

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 초등학교에 근무하는 기혼여교사의 자녀에 대한 양육효능감이 이들의 교사헌신에 어떻게 영향을 미치고 이들과의 관계에서 심리적 안녕감이 매개역할을 하는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 경상남도 마산시, 진해시 초등 8개 교에 재직 중이며 학령전기와 학령기의 자녀를 둔 기혼여교사 145명을 대상으로 양육효능감, 심리적 안녕감, 교사헌신에 대한 설문조사를 하였다.
본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 전반적으로 양육효능감이 높은 교사의 교사헌신도가 높으며, 심리적 안녕감도 높게 느낀다는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 심리적 안녕감이 높은 교사의 교사헌신도가 높았다.
둘째, 양육효능감이 교사헌신을 높이는 직접적인 효과를 가짐과 동시에 심리적 안녕감을 매개로 하여 교사헌신에 간접적인 영향을 동시에 미쳤다.
셋째, 양육효능감이 교사헌신의 하위요인인 학생헌신과 수업헌신, 교직헌신에 대해서는 직접적인 효과와 함께 심리적 안녕감을 매개로 하여 간접적인 영향을 동시에 미치고 있지만, 학교의 발전 및 업무에 관한 사항, 학교 구성원들과의 관계 등에 관한 학교조직 헌신에 대해서는 직접적인 효과만을 가지고 있으며, 심리적 안녕감은 별개의 변인이라는 것을 알 수 있다.
결론적으로 본 연구결과는 초등학교에 재직하고 있는 학령전기와 학령기의 자녀를 둔 기혼여교사의 긍정적인 양육효능감은 심리적 안녕감을 유발하여 교사로서의 헌신도를 높여준다고 할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the maternal efficacy of married female elementary school teachers on their dedication as teachers and the possible mediating effects of their psychological wellbeing on the relationship between the two variables. The subjects in this study were 145 married female teachers in eight different elementary schools located in the cities of Masan and Jinhae, South Gyeongsang Province. Their children were preschoolers or school-aged. A survey was conducted to assess their maternal efficacy, psychological wellbeing and dedication as teachers.
The major findings of the study were as follows:
First, the teachers whose maternal efficacy was better were more dedicated as teachers in general, and their psychological wellbeing was better as well. In addition, a better psychological wellbeing led to a better dedication.
Second, maternal efficacy had a firsthand effect on boosting dedication, and had a secondhand effect on that through the medium of psychological wellbeing at the same time.
Third, maternal efficacy had a firsthand effect on the subfactors of dedication involving dedication to students, dedication to teaching and dedication to the teaching profession, and exerted a secondhand influence on that through psychological wellbeing as well. But it only had a firsthand effect on dedication to school organization, which was linked to the development of school, work handling and relationship with the other school members, and psychological wellbeing wasn't bound up with that in that regard.
The findings of the study suggested that the positive maternal efficacy of the married female elementary school teachers with preschoolers and school-aged children contributed to their psychological wellbeing and thereby served to bolster their dedication as teachers.
