While there is a growing need for the elderly employment project, the fact that the creation of employment should be done within the boundaries of insufficient resources and public resources limitsthe creation. Thus, to find an alternative in given situation, it is indeed necessary to raise the proportion of the most effective types of jobs. Therefore, this research aims to shed light on if the satisfaction rate of the elderly varies depending on the participation types of elderly employment project and to propose measures to develop elderly employment projects that can increase the satisfaction rate of senior citizens.
To achieve the research goal, I carried out a survey by organizing a sample group through stratified sampling for the elderly over the age of 65. The tool used in the survey was the life satisfaction scale by Yang, Ok-Gyeong (1996), using the ANOVA analysis method.
After investigating whether or not there is difference in satisfaction rates for the elderly by different job types that this research covers, 24 elements showed a difference in all 33 life satisfactions, except 9 elements. In types of participation, the most satisfactory for the elderly was welfare (3.63), followed by market (3.45), education (3.37), and public good (3.30). However, manpower dispatching only reached 3.26, indicating the lowest satisfaction rate in all job types.
The research outcome based on the analysis shows that welfare has the highest satisfaction so that it is necessary to select and concentrate on welfare. As this would generate a problem in implementation in reality, it is necessary to adjust the proportion of employment types by assigning a weight for each type based on survey outcome. In addition, it is required to create a measure to raise life satisfaction rate for items with a low satisfaction rate.
