내현적 자기애와 분노표현 양식이 대인관계와 심리적 고통에 미치는 영향 = Effects of Covert Narcissism and Anger Expression on Interpersonal Relationship and Psychological Distress

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 내현적자기애, 분노표현 양식, 대인관계 및 심리적 고통, 분노표현의 매개관계에 대해 검증해 보고자 하였다. 구체적으로 내현적 자기애 및 분노표형양식이 대인관계적절성과 심리적 고통에 미치는 영향이 어떠한지 살펴보고, 내현적자기애와 대인관계 및 심리적 고통의 관계에서 분노표현 양식이 매개효과가 있는지를 연구해 보고자 하였다.
이를 위해 대학생 351명을 대상으로 내현적 자기애, 대인관계 적절성, 분노표현양식, 심리적 고통 척도에 응답하도록 하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 내현적자기애 및 분노표현양식이 대인관계에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 내현적 자기애 중 목표불안정성과 과민/취약성, 소심/자신감 부족은 대인관계에 부적영향을 미쳤으며, 분노표현 양식 중 분노조절은 대인관계에 정적영향을, 분노억제는 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 내현적자기애 및 분노표현 양식이 심리적 고통에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과 심리적 고통에 유의한 영향을 미치는 변인은 내현적 자기애 중 과민/취약성이었다. 셋째, 내현적자기애와 대인관계 적절성의 관계에서 분노억제와 분노표출은 매개변인의 역할을 하지 않았으며, 분노조절은 두 변인의 관계를 부분적으로 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 내현적 자기애와 심리적 고통의 관계에서 분노억제는 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났으나, 분노표출과 분노조절은 매개변인의 역할을 하지 않는 것으로 분석되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of anger expression about the impact of covert narcissism on interpersonal relationship and psychological pain. It's specifically meant to determine the influence of covert narcissism and anger expression patterns on the adequacy of interpersonal relationship and psychological pain and whether anger expression styles had any mediating effect on the relationship of covert narcissism to interpersonal relationship and psychological pain.
The subjects in this study were 351 college students. They were asked to participate in a survey that utilized a covert narcissism scale, an interpersonal relationship scale, an anger expression scale and a psychological pain scale. The major findings of the study were as follows:
First, as a result of checking how covert narcissism and anger expression styles affected the appropriateness of interpersonal relation- ship, that was under the negative influence of the instability of objectives, oversensitivity/vulnerability and timidity/diffidence. Among anger expression patterns, anger control had a positive impact on the appropriateness of interpersonal relationship, and anger restraint exerted a negative influence on that. Second, as for the impact of covert narcissism and the anger expression patterns on psychological pain, that was significantly affected by oversensitivity/ vulnerability. Third, concerning links between covert narcissism and the appropriateness of interpersonal relationship, anger restraint and anger unleashing didn't serve as parameters, and anger control functioned as a partial parameter between the two variables. Fourth, in regard to connections between covert narcissism and psychological pain, anger restraint had a mediating effect on that, but anger unleashing and anger control didn't serve as parameters.
