Elderly long-term care insurance is introduced because of necessity for the solution of retirement anxiety and financial burden in elderly home that is established by the prevention of rapidly increasing aging and the establishment of public elderly care insurance system. The old people needing a care take professional, systematic, and various long-term care services by care providers, but work stress and low work satisfaction can be the causes that make low services for elderly people.
According to the study, it tries to examine an importance of the care provider and how the work stress in elderly care facilities can affect the service quality. Especially, the study analyzes whether or not the work satisfaction affects the relationship between work stress and provide service quality, and based on that result, it tries to derive human resources plan about care provider.
Though the statistical data from the government organizations, the study understands a primary situation, and though the related scientific journals, it examines proceeding studies about long-term care insurance system, work stress, service quality, and work satisfaction and analyzes positively though the questionnaire survey.
The target in research is care providers in 14 facilities that are randomly chosen in 2009 jeonbuk welfare facilities for the elderly.
According to the result, the factors of effect on the service quality are age, the number of client in charge, work stress, and work satisfaction. In addition, the result brings that the most affected factor is the work satisfaction, and the work satisfaction mediates between work stress and provided service quality.
As the study analyzes a general relationship between work stress, work satisfaction, and provided service quality for care provider who works in the elderly care facilities, it tried to make a foundation for successful work of elderly long-term care insurance system.
In particular, as the study derive various policies and practices though the basic data about profession caring social protection for elderly people, we can understand its significance. Also, in comparison with the primary study restrictively examines a relationship of variables though simple regression analysis or multiple regression analysis, this study is signified that it derives an intensive analysis from result though hierarchical regression analysis and a verification of mediating effect.
