This study is to provide a basic data as examining whether children's education can be affected by a degree of stress, a social support and a marriage satisfaction with regards to a mother who has a background of multi-culture family and as developing a scheme for revitalizing the multi-cultural education.
The subject of this study is mother who has their own children who have been grown up based on the multi-cultural family background in the city of Pohang, and Gyeongju to distribute questionnaires which only return 119 ones.
The tool used in this study was referred to measurement tools used by Youngduck Cheong (2004) and Sunhee Cheong(1997).
A method of data processing for conducting this study is as followed.
First, an empirical analysis of this study was verified all at 5% of significance level and the statistical processing is conducted by SPSSWIN 12.0 program.
Second, a frequency analysis was performed for examining the general features of mother.
Third, each question was conducted the reliability test with regards to fosterage behavior of children, a stress of mother, a social support of mother, and a degree of marriage satisfaction. As estimating the reliability among questions the possible predictability and accuracy was observed and the coefficient of Cronbach Alpha determines the reliability among questions.
Fourth, a descriptive statistics was conducted to examine the average and the standard deviation related to the children's fosterage behavior, a mother' stress, a social support of mother, and a degree of marriage satisfaction.
Fifth, a t-test and one-way ANOVA was conducted to examine the children's fosterage behavior in accordance with a general feature of mother. Additionally Ducan's multiple range test verified a meaningful difference at p<0.005.
Sixth, the correlation analysis was conducted to examine a relationship among, a mother's stress, a social support of mother, a degree of marriage, and a children's fosterage behavior. Moreover, a multi-regression analysis was conducted whether the children's fosterage behavior was influenced on the mother stress, the social support of mother, and the degree of marriage satisfaction.
A result based on the study is as followed.
First, the reliability analysis of this study was verified all at 5% of significance level, and the program of SPSSWIN 12.0 is utilized for the statistics process.
Second, the frequency analysis was conducted for examining the general feature of mother.
Third, to perform the reliability test was to estimate the reliability among questions with regards to the children's fosterage behavior, the mother's stress, the social support of mothers, and the degree of marriage satisfaction. By using this test, it helps inferring the predictable possibility and the accuracy. The reliability among questions were used the coefficient of Cronbach's alpha.
Fourth, the descriptive statistics analysis was performed to examine the average and the standard deviation related to the children's fosterage behavior, the mother's stress, the social support of mother, and the degree of marriage satisfaction.
Fifth, the t-test and the one-way ANOVA was performed to recognize the children's fosterage behavior in accordance with a general feature of mother and it verified a meaningful difference at p<0.05 through the Duncan's multiple range test.
Sixth, the correlation analysis was performed to examine the relationships among the mother's stress, the social support of mother, the degree of marriage satisfaction, and the children's fosterage behavior. To examine the influence on the children's fosterage behavior by the mother's stress, the social support of mother and the degree of marriage satisfaction the multi-regression analysis was performed.
