The paradigm of the education emphasizes blended-learning according to the development of knowledge information society. Blended-learning linking off-line to on-line can enhance the effectiveness of the class due to utilize learner's motivation, feedback, and demonstration. But there is little research on blended-learning in physical education. Thus, the purposes of this study were to investigate the effects of blended-learning on self-efficacy and class attitude in elementary physical education class.
The participants consisted of blended-learning group(5th grade 104 students) and control group(5th grade 106 students). Data were collected using quantitative and qualitative mixed designs for blended-learning class twice per week for three months. ANCOVA(analysis of covariance) technique was used to compare two groups and also the qualitative technique was used for supporting the quantitative data.
Results indicated that first, there was statistically positive effect on men in confidence of self-efficacy in blended-learning group due to self-directed learning although there was no statistically effects on self-control and task difficulty. Second, blended-learning had statistically positive effect on men in understanding and interest of physical education class attitude. But there was no statistically effect on participation. Finally, through the community of blended-learning, elementary students participate actively in physical education class, enhance in confidence, and attain the goal in physical education. There is a need the development of various content for physical education class in order to enhance students' interests and convenient web environment for teacher.
