결혼이민자여성의 결혼만족과 양육스트레스가 문화적응에 미치는 영향 = Influence that marital satisfaction and fostering stress of marriage immigrating women has on the cultural adaptation

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Considering the settlement by cultural adaptation as the important factor of personal home and social life among the factors necessary for marriage immigrants who marry Korean men to settle in Korean society, this research intends to clarify the relation between marital satisfaction and children fostering stress and their influence to adapt well to culture. To collect materials, questionnaire method was implemented to 133 marriage immigrating women with children living in the metropolitan circle(Gyeonggi, Incheon, Seoul), the objects of research. The scale composed by this researcher based on preceding research was used to measure the cultural adaptation, marital satisfaction and fostering stress. Frequency analysis, crossing analysis, correlation, regression analysis and multi regression analysis were implemented to analyze the research problem. Analysis was made through Cronbach's α to verify the reliability of scale items, because the original scale of marital satisfaction, fostering stress and cultural adaptation was used after revision. The, they were verified to be reliable with the following values, marital satisfaction in .80, fostering stress in .84 and cultural adaptation in .71. The main result of this research is summarized as follows.
First, analyzing correlation to verify the relation among marital satisfaction, fostering stress and cultural adaptation of the research objects, significant correlation was found among marital satisfaction, fostering stress and cultural adaptation, showing relation among the variables.
Second, checking the influence that marriage immigrating women's marital satisfaction has on cultural adaptation by regression analysis, it was found that cultural adaptation is higher when marital satisfaction is higher. Analyzing the influence that fostering stress has on the cultural adaptation, it was found that cultural adaptation is higher when fostering stress is lower.
Third, checking influence that marriage immigrating women's marital satisfaction and fostering stress have on the cultural adaptation by multi regression analysis, it was found that although marital satisfaction and fostering stress affect cultural adaptation, fostering stress affects more than marital satisfaction.
Fourth, it was found that household income and occupation were the main factors among demographic and sociological property, since they affected marriage immigrating women's cultural adaptation.
Generalizing this result, it was proven that the marital satisfaction and fostering stress of marriage immigrating women with children respectively affected marriage immigrating women's cultural adaptation considerably and fostering stress had higher influential force than marital satisfaction. Therefore, it can be concluded that marital satisfaction and fostering stress are the important variable in the process where marriage immigranting women with children adapt to culture.
After research, it is suggested as follows. First, since the meaning of questions in the scale for Korean women may not be communicated sometimes owing to difference in cultural background and confusion in language, it is necessary to subdivide each object so as to understand the cultural background or language more easily and to develop simple scale.
Second, although there are many marriage immigrating women who are excluded from the local social service in the metropolitan circle, they are separated from outside. Thus, it is required to approach and research marriage immigrating women who are alienated from cultural benefit and information.
Third, if marriage immigrating women divorce, they will face diverse difficulties such as economic situation, the issue of illegal staying and residence, especially, the issue of language and technology for employment. Since the problems related to their children may be also emerged seriously, constant interest and research are required.
According to the response on the difficulty in living in Korea and necessary service of the objects of this research, diverse services are required from the difficulty of fostering children and delivery, service related to fostering children, education to adapt to culture in Korea, vocational training, educational service of the mother country of the children. Thus, the constant research and politic intervention related to children are required.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국 남성과 결혼한 결혼이민자들이 한국사회에 정착하는 요소 중에서 문화적응에 따른 정착이 개인의 가정과 사회생활에 중요한 요소로 보고, 문화에 잘 적응하기 위해서 결혼만족과 자녀양육스트레스가 어떤 관계가 있는지, 어떤 영향력을 미치는 지를 규명하는 연구이다.
연구의 대상자는 자녀를 가진 결혼이민자 여성 133명으로 수도권(경기, 인천, 서울)에 거주 지역을 중심으로 표집 하였으며, 질문지 조사 방법으로 자료를 수집하였다. 문화적응과 결혼만족, 양육스트레스를 측정하기 위해서 선행연구를 기초로 본 연구자가 구성한 척도를 사용하였다.
연구 문제의 분석을 위해서는 빈도분석, 교차분석, 상관관계, 회귀분석과 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결혼만족, 양육스트레스, 문화적응의 원 척도를 수정하여 사용하였기 때문에 척도 문항의 신뢰성을 검증하기 위하여 Cronbach's α 통해 분석한 결과, 결혼만족은 .80 , 양육스트레스는 .84, 문화적응은 .71로 나타나 신뢰성이 있음을 검증하였다.
본 연구의 주요 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 연구 대상자의 결혼 만족과 양육스트레스, 문화적응 간의 관계성을 입증하기 위해 상관관계 분석을 한 결과는 결혼만족, 양육스트레스, 문화적응 간에 높은 상관관계가 있는 것으로 유의미하게 나타나 변수들 간에 관계성이 있음을 입증하였다.
둘째, 결혼이민자 여성의 결혼만족이 문화적응에 미치는 영향을 회귀분석으로 살펴본 결과 결혼만족이 높을수록 문화적응이 높게 나타났으며, 양육스트레스가 문화적응에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과 양육스트레스가 낮을수록 문화적응이 높게 나타났다.
셋째, 결혼이민자여성의 결혼만족과 양육스트레스가 문화적응에 미치는 영향을 다중회귀분석을 통해 살펴본 결과 결혼만족과 양육스트레스가 모두 문화적응에 영향을 미치지만 특히 양육스트레스가 결혼만족보다 더 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
넷째, 인구사회학적 특성 중에서 가계소득과 직업이 결혼이민자여성의 문화적응에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 중요한 요인임을 알 수 있었다.
이상의 결과를 종합하여 볼 때 자녀를 둔 결혼이민자 여성의 결혼만족과 양육스트레스는 결혼이민자 여성의 문화적응에 각각 직접적으로 중요한 영향을 줄 뿐 아니라, 양육스트레스는 결혼만족보다 높은 영향력을 갖고 있음을 입증하였다. 따라서 결혼만족과 양육스트레스는 자녀를 둔 결혼이민자 여성이 문화적응을 하는 과정에 있어서 중요한 변인이라고 결론지을 수 있다.
연구 결과 제언으로는 첫째, 문화적 배경의 차이와 언어사용의 혼동으로 한국여성들을 대상으로 하는 척도의 질문이 의미전달이 되지 않는 경우가 있기 때문에 각 대상자를 세분화 하여 문화적 배경이나 언어를 보다 쉽게 이해 할 수 있고 간단한 척도의 개발이 필요하다.
둘째, 수도권에서도 지역사회서비스를 이용하고 있지 않은 결혼이민자 여성이 많으나 외부에 단절되어 있어서 문화적 혜택과 정보를 받지 못하는 결혼이민자여성에 대한 접근과 연구가 요구된다.
셋째, 결혼이민자여성인 경우, 이혼을 하게 되면, 경제적 상황부터 시작하여, 불법체류에 관한 문제, 거주의 문제, 특히 언어문제와 기술문제로 직업을 구하는데 어려움이 따른다. 이들의 자녀와 관련된 문제도 심각하게 나타날 가능성이 있어 지속적인 관심과 연구의 필요성이 요구된다.
본 연구의 대상자들의 한국생활의 어려움과 필요한 서비스에 대한 응답 결과 자녀양육의 어려움과 출산부터 시작하여 자녀양육관련 서비스, 한국문화적응교육, 직업교육, 자녀의 어머니나라 교육서비스를 요구하는 경우가 높게 나타나 자녀와 관련된 지속적인 연구와 정책적인 개입이 이루어져야 할 것이다.
