아동미술의 다양한 재료활용과 표현방법에 대한 연구

For our children′s better lives in the future, we need the ones who can think in the way of their own and make their unique observations of things, and who can consider other′s feelings, let alone their own and maintain harmonious relations with others. It is different from the past times in which most children can live better lives who can memorize more things by heart and calculate better than others.
Individual character and originality come from having one′s own specific viewpoint. We should cultivate our aesthetic sense and enlighten visual perception through the fine art education. Therefore, the fine art class in practical use of diverse materials and method of expression enhances children′s expressional desires and originalities as well.
A teacher ought to have ability to guide and lead children according to their steps of advancement. A fine art teacher has to acquire the expert knowledges including the method of materials use and of expression in order that children are able to express their experiences, imaginations and what to have seen. He must also continue his productive activities. We need a recognition that the teacher´s passionate accomplishment of role, first of all, with versatile teaching method is very important.
On these grounds, this study aims at researching for diverse methods and skills of expression with various fine art materials which are needed to develop originalities for the first and second grades in the elementary school. The development stages of children's fine arts and those children´s characteristics have been examined with some references including the proceed research papers. Some kinds and ways of motive induction are also added to this study because teacher´s role for the expansion of children´s originalities comes first in their education.
I expect that this study can help us to comprehend the significance and importance of fine art education in childhood.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

앞으로 우리 어린이들이 살아갈 시대는 많이 외우고 잘 계산하는 사람보다는 남과 다른 독특한 생각을 잘하고 사물을 새롭게 볼 수 있는 사람, 그리고 자기 감정과 다른 사람의 감정을 파악하고 다른 사람과 원만하게 지내는 능력을 필요로 한다. 남과 다르게 볼 수 있다는 것이 개성이고 창의성으로 미술 교육을 통해 미적 안목을 기르고 시지각을 계발 시켜 나가야 한다. 따라서 다양한 재료의 활용과 표현방법을 통한 미술수업은 아동의 표현의욕을 높이고 더 나아가 창의력을 향상시킬 수 있을 것이다.
또한 재료들을 융통성 있게 활용하여 어린이의 경험과 상상, 그리고 보는 것을 마음껏 표현하도록 하기 위해서는 교사의 미술에 대한 전문적인 지식 습득과 창작 활동을 병행하여 재료와 표현 방법을 어린이들의 발달 단계에 맞게 안내하고 지도할 수 있는 능력을 갖추어야 한다. 그리고 적극적이고 융통성 있는 교수 방법으로 어린이들의 표현 능력을 신장시킬 수 있는 열정적인 교사의 역할이 무엇보다 중요하다.
그래서 본 연구에서는 로웬펠드 교육사상을 토대로 아동미술의 발달단계 및 특징을 살펴보고 창의성 계발을 위한 다양한 표현 재료활동과 기법, 그 의의와 중요성을 알아보았다.
또한 아동의 창의적 표현력 신장을 돕기 위한 교사의 역할이 무엇보다 중요하므로 동기유발의 종류와 방법 등을 함께 모색했다.
