    The purpose of this study is to know change for thinking power and problem solving abilities in problem solving process through mathematical metacognitive exercises.
    In order to achieve the purpose of this study, I propose a subject of study as follows:
    1. How does mathematical metacognitive exercises influence student's thinking power?
    2. How do mathematical metacognitive exercises influence student's problem solving abilities?
    To solve these problems, qualitative case data such as in-depth interviews with teacher and student, observation paper, own report and worksheets are collected and analyzed. The subjects of this study are a high school student in Seoul. The student took part in 8 experiment for 4 weeks.
    The results of this study were as follows:
    First, the student tried to seek the key contents of problems to read and underlie them in problem solving process through mathematical metacognitive exercises. And she set up problem solving plans, tried to solve them. Then, she analyzed, modified and checked the problem solving process after she finished solving problems. As a result, her thinking power were greatly developed in problem solving process through mathematical metacognitive exercises.
    Second, she obtained developed thinking power in problem solving process through mathematical metacognitive exercises. And she showed successful problem solving in problem solving process. Then, her problem solving method were positively improved and changed. As a result, her problem solving abilities were greatly developed in problem solving process through mathematical metacognitive exercises.
