수학일지쓰기가 학습부진아의 수학적 성향에 미치는 영향 = On the effect of journal writing as a communication for mathematics underachievers

In this study, we research how underachievers have affection mathematical journal writing and how mathematical journal writing affects underachievers mathematical attitude we got the conclusion of this research through case study as following;
In order to do this, I have set up the following research questions.
1. How does Mathematical Journal Writing affects middle school mathematics underachievers' attitude of self-confidence, flexibility, volition, curiosity, meditation and the mathematical value of education?
2. What is the Students' recognition of Mathematical Journal Writing?
In order to conduct this research, I have instructed seventh grade in a middle school mathematics underachievers in journal writing as a means of mathematical mutual understanding for seven weeks. The survey of students has carried out twice, before and after students done Mathematical Journal Writing. In addition, I have used the Excel and analyzed the effects of journal writing with a t-test.
The results of this research are as follows.
First, there was significant difference in the self-confidence, volition, curiosity and meditation of the students who had been instructed in journal writing.
But there was no a significant difference in the students' attitude towards flexibility and the mathematical value of education mathematics the underachievers.
If we continue instructing the students in journal writing for a longer period of time, I believe that we would have a positive influence on the underachievers' mathematical inclination, their view of mathematics and their mathematical thinking faculties.
In conclusion, journal writing as communication in teaching mathematics, is effective in affect. This effect will have a further positive influence in improving the students' achievement.
