The purpose of this study was to analyze the mathematics teacher's recognition for consulting-based supervision. To accomplish the study, survey was adopted. The questionnaire was composed of 12 questions. The subjects for survey were 73 mathematics teachers of secondary school in the city of Daegu and the province of Gyeongsangbuk. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS(Statistical Package for the Social Science) 14.0 program.
The 2.7% of mathematics teachers had experience of consulting-based supervision. But mathematics teachers had positive intention to seek consulting.
Based on the result of survey, in order to activate consulting-based supervision, the specialty of consulting supervision on the teaching methods and curriculum should be raised, and the difficulty of heavy workload and teaching load should be alleviated.
