This study proves how the motivation of participation in the Taekwondo Training of Elementary School Children affects satisfaction of training and self-concepts. It uses a sample of 400 elementary school trainees who attend the "S" Taekwondo Gymnasium, situated in Seongdong-gu in Seoul. The results are set out as follows:
First, the difference in motivations of participation according to the demographic features
Taekwondo trainees in Elementary schools join the training mainly for body building, and for other reasons such as the recommendation of family and school teachers, and following the example of friends.
Second, the satisfaction of training according to demographic features
The satisfaction of training according to demographic features showed differences in psychological, social and physical satisfaction according to factors relating to individuals such as sex, age, and length of training period.
Third, the interrelation between the satisfaction of training and self-concepts
In order to discover more about the interrelation between satisfaction of training and self-concepts, the method of correlation examination was used for analysis, and as a result, it has become clear that there is a connection between overall self-concepts, including physical, scholastic, and social self-concepts, and the level of satisfaction in psychological, social and physical satisfaction.
Fourth, the effect motivation of participation on the self-concepts
The result of the research on whether the motivation for participating in Taekwondo training had any effect on self-concepts shows that statistically there is a certain difference in physical and social self-concepts.

The result of research on Taekwondo training satisfaction's effect on self-concepts shows it had an effect on social, scholastic, and physical self-concepts in sequence. and a positive effect on the formation of positive self-concepts.
In conclusion, Taekwondo training is an essential element for elementary school trainees to provide strength in their growing period of their lives, and to sustain children's health. Therefore, it is recommended to develop more suitable systematic programs to boost Taekwondo trainees' motivation, in order to revitalize Taekwondo.
