교장의 수업지도성이 학교의 교수.학습풍토 및 교사의 교수효과성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 교장의 수업지도성이 학교의 교수․학습풍토 및 교사의 교수효과성에 미치는 영향과 학교의 교수․학습풍토가 교사의 교수효과성에 미치는 영향, 교장의 수업지도성이 학교의 교수․학습풍토를 통하여 교사의 교수효과성에 미치는 영향을 조사․분석하였다.
이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위한 연구문제는 다음과 같다.
가. 교장의 수업지도성 수행은 교장 및 학교의 배경변인에 따라 각각 어떤 차 이가 있는가?
나. 교장의 수업지도성이 학교의 교수․학습풍토에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가?
다. 교장의 수업지도성이 교사의 교수효과성에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가?
라. 학교의 교수․학습풍토가 교사의 교수효과성에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가?
마. 교장의 수업지도성이 학교의 교수․학습풍토를 통하여 교사의 교수효과성에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가?
본 연구는 부산시내 초등학교 40개교 교사 783명을 무선표집하였으며, 사용가능하게 응답한 768명의 설문지를 사용하여 각종 통계 처리하였다.
조사를 위한 교장의 수업지도성 설문지는 Hallinger(1985)의 ‘교장 수업 평가 관리 척도 (PIMRS)’를 수정·보완하여 사용하였고, 학교의 교수․학습풍토 설문지는 Stern (1978)의 ‘환경척도’, 윤희준 (1984)의 ‘수업풍토와 아동의 자아개념’ 중의 ‘수업풍토 요인’을, 교사의 교수효과성 설문지는 배호순(1992)의 ‘교수효과성 평가를 위한 준거체제 탐색연구’를 참고하였다. 수집된 자료의 통계처리는 설문내용별로 공분산 구조분석은 AMOS 4.0 프로그램, 기술적 통계부분은 SPSS Window 12.0을 사용하였다. 본 연구에서 설정한 연구모형의 부합도와 경합모형의 부합도를 비교한 결과, 연구모형이 자료에 더 부합되는 것으로 나타났다.
본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 교장의 수업지도성을 배경변인에 따른 분석한 결과 여교장이 남교장보다, 3-6년의 경력을 가진 교장이 3년 이하나 7년 이상의 경력을 가진 교장보다 수업지도성 수행 정도가 높게 나타났고, 라 급지 학교의 교장이 가, 나․다 급지 학교의 교장보다, 17학급 이하 학교의 교장이 18학급 이상의 학교의 교장보다 수업지도성 수행 정도가 높게 나타났다. 교장의 수업지도성은 3-6년의 경력을 가진 여교장과 17학급 이하의, 라 급지 교장의 수업지도성 수행 정도가 높은 것을 알 수 있다.
둘째, 교장의 수업지도성이 학교의 교수․학습풍토에 미치는 영향은 .001 수준 이상에서 유의한 차이로 높은 반응이 나타난 것으로 보아 교장의 수업지도성은 학교 구성원의 심리적, 사회적 풍토와 문화 형성에 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로 볼 수 있다.
셋째, 교장의 수업지도성이 교사의 교수효과성에 미치는 영향은 .001 수준 이상에서 유의한 차이로 비교적 낮은 반응을 나타낸 것으로 보아 교장의 수업지도성이 교사의 교수효과성에 비교적 적은 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있다. 교장이 교사에게 전문성을 개발할 기회를 주는 것은 교수효과성의 초점이 된다.
넷째, 학교의 교수·학습풍토가 교사의 교수효과성에 미치는 영향이 .001 수준 이상에서 유의한 차이로 높은 반응을 나타낸 것으로 보아 학교의 교수․학습풍토가 교사의 교수효과성 증진과 학생성취에 크게 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있다. 교사의 학업성취에 대한 기대, 존경과 인정의 풍토는 교수․학습 개선에 크게 영향을 미친다.
다섯째, 교장의 수업지도성이 학교의 교수·학습풍토를 통하여 교사의 교수효과성에 미치는 영향은 높게 나타났다. 이는 교사의 교수효과성 향상을 위한 교장의 수업지도성 수행은 학교의 교수․학습풍토조성을 통한 지도가 더 큰 영향력을 미칠 수 있음을 보여준다.
