노인복지기관 여가프로그램 참여가 노년기 임파워먼트에 미치는 영향 : 천안시 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 노인을 위한 복지기관 사회교육 및 여가프로그램이 노인의 임파워먼트(역량강화)에 미치는 영향을 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 유의적 표집방법을 사용하여 천안시내 동부, 서부, 북부에 위치한 노인복지기관과 시에서 운영하는 노인종합복지관을 이용하시는 60세 이상의 남.여 노인을 모집단으로 하여 임의 표본추출 방식으로 하였다. 또한 노인복지기관에 대한 현장감각과 함께 정부정책과 지역사회, 노인복지 체계 전반에 대한 이해를 갖추고 있는 노인복지시설의 관계자에 대한 질적조사와 병행하여, 수집된 자료를 짤막한 사례 형태로 소개하거나, 표준화된 면접을 통해 얻어진 자료를 통해 마련된 질문에 대한 연구대상의 응답내용을 붙이는 인터뷰 방법으로 조사시 어르신들이 예의상 그냥 ‘좋다’는 대답에 심층있는 보완을 하였다.
작성된 설문지와 인터뷰를 통해 얻어진 자료를 토대로 분석 목적에 따라 자료 분석 하였으며 그에 따라 도출한 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 프로그램 참여도가 대인관계의 변화와 상관관계에 영향을 주며, 프로그램 참여가 개인 삶의 긍정적인 변화간의 상관관계에도 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
둘째, 참여기간과 삶의 긍정적 변화간의 상관관계에 대하여 분석하여 보면 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다.
셋째, 대인관계와 의사표현, 자기 발전적 자신감의 상호관계간의 관계를 알아보면 대인관계 변화와 자신감 있는 의사표현에는 상관관계가 없는 유의미한 영향을 주지 못하는 것으로 나왔으나, 대인관계 변화와 자기 발전적 자신감에는 유의미하게 영향을 미친는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 삶의 긍정적 변화와 자기 발전적 자신감과의 상관관계에서도 유의미하게 작용함이 나왔다.
이러한 일련의 결과로 보면 노인복지시설 프로그램 참여와 임파워먼트의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
프로그램 참여가 노인들에게 취미나 여가 생활로 인식이 된다면 이는 자신감 형성에 영향요인은 되나 단순히 지식이나 정보 등을 전달하기 위한 프로그램으로 운영되고, 노인의 임파워먼트에 영향을 미치지못할 것이다.
따라서 노년기 임파워먼트 구축을 위해서는 여가교육 기관에 대한 재정적 지원이 부족함을 평생교육법상의 노인교육 지원규정에 의거하여 체제정비가 이루어져야 할 것이며, 그러한 교육들이 통합교육이나 일자리 창출로 이루어야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The objective of this study is to examine the factors that influence the senescent empowerment in terms of social education and leisure program for the elderly by welfare institutions. In order to reach the goal of this study, the elderly people who frequented welfare facilities were selected by the method of significant systematic sampling at each welfare facility in the eastern/western/northern parts of Cheonan City. And random sampling was also conducted, based on the population of the senior citizens of both genders over 60 of age who frequented the comprehensive welfare centre for the elderly, run by the city. Besides, a qualitative study was conducted as to the people concerned with the elderly welfare facilities, who are aware of the current state of the whole welfare system for the elderly, government policies and local communities. By presenting short cases based on collected data or showing comments on the given questions based on the standardized interview, the simplistic and courteous 'yes' answers of some elderly people were complemented in depth.
The data that had been collected trough questionnaires and interviews was analysed according to the purposes of the analysis. And its outcome is as follows:
Firstly, the level of participation in the program influences the relationship with other people, as well as the correlation with positive transformation of lifestyle.
Secondly, the analysis also shows that the correlation between participation period and positive transformation of lifestyle exercises an influence.
Thirdly, the correlation amongst the transformed relationship with other people, self-expression and self-motivating confidence is examined to show that there is no significant influence on the correlation between the transformed relationship with other people and the self-expression, while there is a significant influence on the correlation between the transformed relationship with other people and the self-motivating confidence. And there is also a significant influence on the correlation between the positive transformation of lifestyle and the self-motivating confidence. All of these results show that there is a correlation between participation in the elderly welfare facilities programs and 'empowerment'.
If such participation in the programs were perceived as mere pastime or leisure activity by the elderly themselves, it would be little more than a sheer influential factor on formation of confidence. Or it would be run as a mere program for conveying knowledge and information, which couldn't influence the empowerment of the elderly greatly.
In order to establish the elderly empowerment program, the problem as to the lack of financial support for institutions of leisure education is supposed to be put in order, according to the stipulations on elderly education support of the lifetime education law, which should lead to comprehensive education or job creation.
