거친 신체놀이에 대한 교사들의 이야기

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Purpose of this study was to refine the preschool teachers' thoughts on rough and tumble play in oder to find out the desirable role of the preschool teachers.
Five participating observers attended this study for journal writing and group interview, and narrative exploration were conducted for analyses.
Research findings are as follows:
Firstly, preschool teachers thought that rough and tumble play as natural way of children play, and they concerned it as a necessity way of concentrating among children especially in modern society where there is a lack of play place.
Secondly, Since rough and tumble play made children excited so as to bring extreme dangerous body activity, preschool teachers worried safety the most. Also they felt the lack of teachers' recognition on safety in addition to misconception on rough and tumble play either with the parents' and the preschool representative's. They concern the safety first rather than the children's need for play.
Thirdly, preschool teachers showed positive opinion on the rough and tumble play. They asked to provide children for rough and tumble play time, and expected that children learn how to deal with risk during that time. And they were willing to interrupt children when it was needed. In other words, they wanted that children are exposed to rough and tumble play as a way of learning others. Also teachers suggested discussion among parents, preschool dean and teachers on rough and tumble play ad hoc. Such opportunity brings a chance for understanding one another throughout rough and tumble play as a whole.
