가족응집성 및 가족적응성, 정서지능, 친밀감이 수도생활만족도에 미치는 영향

In an effort to enhance the satisfaction of religious life, this study investigated several variables seemingly related to the satisfaction of religious life. To do so, a survey was done over 767 subjects who were consecrated religious from 53 different religious orders in Korea. Concretely speaking, as for the internal variables, past variables such as perceived family cohesion and family adaptability were studied. Present variables were studied as well: emotional intelligence as a variable from inside and intimacy and influence on the satisfaction of religious life as variables from outside. As for the external variables, different groups were compared in terms of the satisfaction of religious life. The result was as follows. Firstly, perceived family cohesion and family adaptability of the religious has positive relativity with the satisfaction of religious life. Therefore, if the religious can recognize their family more exactly and solve the issues within the family, their the satisfaction of religious life will be enhanced.
Secondly, emotional intelligence has positive relativity with the satisfaction of religious life. Thus, spiritual guidance and proper atmosphere should be provided so that religious may enhance their emotional intelligence and express themselves more freely. Thirdly, intimacy has positive relativity with the satisfaction of religious life. Thus, it is necessary to help the religious make enough efforts to build up good relationship among themselves through intimacy. Fourthly, regarding the standard of living of the family, the age of decision for vocation and the age of starting religious life, there was a significant difference between the satisfaction of religious life of different groups. Those who consider the standard of living of the family as higher show higher the satisfaction of religious life. Those who decided to join religious community earlier show higher the satisfaction of religious life. Those who started their religious life earlier show higher the satisfaction of religious life . Considering the result above, superiors of each congregations in Korea should continuously take care of the variables above so that they can enhance the satisfaction of religious life, contributing to the spiritual growth of the religious.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 전국의 53개 천주교 남녀 수도회 767명의 수도자들을 대상으로 수도생활만족도를 높이는데 도움이 되고자, 수도생활만족도와 연관이 있을 것이라 생각되는 변인들을 살펴보았다. 구체적으로 내부 변인으로 과거 변인인 지각된 가족응집성 및 가족적응성, 현재 변인으로 내적 변인인 정서지능, 외적 변인인 친밀감과 수도생활만족도에 미치는 영향을 알아보았고, 외부 변인으로 수도자 배경 변인의 집단 간 수도생활만족도 차이를 살펴보았다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 수도자들의 지각된 가족응집성 및 가족적응성이 수도생활만족도에 정적 상관이 있었다. 이에 수도자들이 지각하고 있는 자신의 원가족에 대한 정확한 인식과 문제 극복이 수도생활만족도를 제고할 수 있을 것이다.
둘째, 정서지능은 수도생활만족도에 정적 상관이 있었다. 이에 수도자들이 자신의 정서지능을 제고하여 표현할 수 있도록 영적 지도 및 분위기를 형성해 주어야 할 것이다.
셋째, 친밀감은 수도생활만족도에 정적 상관이 있었다. 이에 친밀감을 통한 수도자들 서로가 관계 형성에 충분한 노력을 기울이도록 배려해 주어야 할 것이다.
넷째, 원가족 생활수준, 수도회 입회를 결심한 나이, 수도생활 시작 나이의 집단 간 수도생활만족도에는 의미있는 차이를 보였다. 원가족 생활수준을 높게 지각한 수도자들이 수도생활만족도가 높았고, 수도회 입회를 결심한 시기가 빨랐던 수도자들이 수도생활만족도가 높았고, 수도생활 이른 나이에 시작한 수도자들이 수도생활만족도가 높았다.
이상의 통해 수도회 장상들은 위에서 제시된 변인들이 수도자들의 영적 성장의 계기가 되어 궁극적으로 수도생활만족도를 높일 수 있도록 지속적인 관심을 가져야 할 것이다.
