즐거운 생활 교과의 신체활동 영역에 대한 교사의 인식 = Elementary school teachr's perception on the physical activities area in the pleasant life subject

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 1, 2학년에서 통합교육과정으로 운영되고 있는 즐거운 생활 교과의 신체 활동 영역에 대한 교사들의 인식을 파악하여 저학년 체육활동의 중요성 및 문제점을 알아보고, 나아가 즐거운 생활 신체 활동 영역의 개선을 위한 대안 마련의 기초를 제공하는 데 있다.
이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 4명의 현직 교사를 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 귀납적 범주 분석을 통해 해석하고 분석하였다. 이 과정에서 타당도와 신뢰도에 대한 검증 과정을 거치면서 자료의 재수집이 이루어졌고 연구의 윤리성을 높이고자 노력하였다.
연구 참여자 심층면담 결과 즐거운 생활에 대한 교사의 인식을 크게 교육과정 및 교과서에 대한 인식, 교수-학습 활동의 실제에 대한 인식, 개선방안에 대한 인식 등으로 범주화하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다.
첫째, ‘교육과정 및 교과서’에 대한 교사의 인식을 분석한 결과, 즐거운 생활의 신체 활동 영역은 학교적응 및 전인적 발달의 초석을 제공하는 교과라고 인식하고 있었으나, 통합의 취지를 반영하기 쉽지 않다는 응답을 하였다. 또한 저학년 아동에게 다양한 학습 경험의 기회를 제공하지 못하고 다소 소외되고 있으나, 오히려 유의미한 학습의 중심에 놓일 수 있다고 생각하는 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, ‘교수-학습 활동의 실제’에서는 현장에서 교사가 인식하고 있는 즐거운 생활의 모습을 담고자 노력하였다. 이를 분석한 결과, 초등학교 저학년에서는 체육의 독자적인 영역이 교과체계로 확립되지 못한 채 체육수업이 제대로 이루어지지 않고 있으며, 통합교과인 즐거운 생활은 통합의 의미를 살리지 못한 채 분과적 지도가 이루어지고 있는 것으로 인식하고 있었다.
셋째, ‘개선 방안’에 대한 교사의 인식을 분석한 결과, 교사들은 저학년 체육 에 대한 인식이 변해야 하며, 이러한 인식의 전환과 함께 초등교육에서 체육교과의 비중이 확대되어야 한다고 응답하였다. 구체적으로 초등학교 저학년 체육교육을 활성화하기 위해서는, 체육교육 인프라를 구축하고 저학년 즐거운 생활에서 체육교과를 분리해야 하며, 체육교과에 대한 초등 교사의 전문성을 신장해야 하는 것으로 생각하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study's object is to know the problems and importances that spoken in the low grade's physical activities, which regarded as the domain of the physical activity by grasping teachers' perception to the pleasant life physical activities area, which is operated as a united education curriculum in the first and second year in elementary schools. Also to prepare the developmental foundations for the pleasant life physical activities area and offer clues that work toward the elementary school physical education.
To accomplish this object, the data were collected by in-depth interview of 4 current teachers and carefully interpreted and analyzed through the inductive category analysis. During that procedure, validity and reliability of data were verified continuously. Also data recollecting was accomplished and those all exertions could increase the ethics of the theory.
As a result of participant's in-depth interview, the teachers' perceptions to the pleasant life physical activities area were largely classified into understanding of education curriculum and textbooks, the reality of teaching-learning activity and improvement directions.
The first, as a result of analyzing teacher's perception to the education curriculum and textbook, they perceived the pleasant life physical activities area as a lesson that presenting the foundation stone for adapting to school life and whole development but responded that it's not easily reflected to the unification object. And they think it lies at a little outside so that couldn't supplying the various learning chances to the lower grade children, but being in the center of meaningful learning instead.
The second, in 'teaching-learning activities', tried to show the features in the on-the-spot pleasant life physical activities that saw by teachers. As a result of analyzing them, in lower grades, while having a problems establishing the physical education easily as the independent domain in a teaching system and pleasant life, physical education was not implemented properly. And the united lesson was guided separately, not using the unification's meaning. Also by the reason of changeable results that caused by the capability which depending on the teacher's teaching view they showed that there was a great desire for a change.
The third, as a result of analyzing teachers perception to improvement method', teachers thought that the perception to the physical education to lower grades should be changed, and with that change, the physical education's weight in the elementary physical education should be enlarged. And it was showed that the physical education infra should be constructed to activate the physical education and the physical education should be separated from the low grade pleasant life. And they thought teachers should extend the expertise for the physical education in order to gain substance.
