동화를 활용한 동작표현활동이 유아의 그리기 표상능력에 미치는 영향

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 동화를 활용한 동작표현활동이 유아의 그리기 표상능력의 증진에서 어떠한 효과가 있는지를 알아보는데 있다.
본 연구에서 다루고자 하는 연구문제는 다음과 같다.
동화를 활용한 동작표현활동은 유아의 전체 그리기 표상능력과 그 하위요인(기본도형과 선의 병합, 다양한 색채, 세부적 묘사, 조화로운 화면 구성, 다양한 형체, 주제 관련 표현, 표현의 창의성, 그림의 완성, 표현과 언어의 연계성, 그림 내 공간 표현력)의 증진에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가?
연구대상은 대구시에 소재하고 있는 H어린이집 만 4세 반의 만 4,5세 유아 40명을 실험집단 20명, 비교집단 20명으로 구성하였다.
연구도구로는 지성애(2001)의 「그리기 표상 능력 평가 척도」에 박현주(1999)의 공간표현 분석을 보완하여 사용하였다.
실험처치를 위해 실험집단은 동화 예측, 동화 듣기 및 예측확인, 등장인물의 표정과 행동, 사물의 움직임을 중심으로 그림을 관찰하며 동화회상, 동작 표상 및 그리기 활동, 마무리 활동으로 동작표현활동을 8주간 15회를 실시하였고 비교집단은 동화 듣기 및 예측확인, 동화회상, 동화와 관련된 이야기 나누기, 그리기 표상활동, 마무리의 활동을 8주간 15회 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 평균과 표준편차, 공분산분석을 실시하였다.
본 연구에 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 동화를 활용한 동작표현활동은 전체 그리기 표상능력의 점수에서 유의미한 결과가 있었다. 즉, 동화를 활용한 동작표현활동은 유아의 그리기 표상 능력증진에 효과적인 교수전략이다.
둘째, 동화를 활용한 동작표현활동은 유아의 그리기 표상 능력 중 ‘기본도형과 선의 병합’, ‘세부적 묘사’, ‘조화로운 구성’, ‘다양한 형체’, ‘주제관련 표상’, ‘표상의 창의성’, ‘그림 내 공간표현력’에서 유의미한 결과가 있었다. 즉, 동화를 활용한 동작표현활동은 유아의 그리기 표상 능력 중 ‘기본도형과 선의 병합’, ‘세부적 묘사’, ‘조화로운 구성’, ‘다양한 형체’, ‘주제관련 표상’, ‘표상의 창의성’, ‘그림 내 공간표현력’ 증진에 효과적인 교수전략이다.
이러한 연구결과는 동화를 활용한 동작표현활동이 유아 교육 현장에 적용할 수 있음을 시사한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of physical movement activity through fairy tales on children’s drawing representation abilities.
The research questions of this study were follows:
What kinds of effect does physical movement activity through fairy tales on children's drawing representation ability?
The subjects of this study were 40 children who are four-years-old from H day care center located in Dae-gu city. They were randomly assigned to experimental(20 children) and comparative group(20 children). And they were randomly divided into two groups; an experimental group(male 10, female 10) and comparative group(male 10, female 10).
The instruments used to pre- and post-test in this study were「Drawing Representation Ability Evaluation Scale」by Chi, Sung-Ae(2001) and 「Space expression ability in drawing」by Park, Hyun-Ju(1999) for measuring children's drawing representation abilities. Total of 15 experiments were conducted twice a week for eight weeks.
The data collected from the pre- and post-test to perform this study were analyzed by ANCOVA using SPSS 12.0 system.
The results in this study were follows: there was statistically significant differences between the experimental group and comparative group in drawing representation ability. That is, the experimental group got higher score than the comparative group in the sub-fields of drawing representation ability as like the concurrence degree of combination of lines and basic forms, harmony of construction, use of figures, detail description, representation related to subject, creativity of representation.
As a result of this study, it was showed that physical movement activity through fairy tales were very effective in improving early children's drawing representation abilities. Therefore, the relevant application of physical movement activity through fairy tales will be one of the most effective teaching methods in the young children education field.
