Safe landing and success in work is one of the most important task in life. Procrastination work behavior” by individual at work place is the obstacle elements to the ultimate goal. Hence, this study would like to study the co-relationship on the effects from the irrational belief and big five to procrastinate work behavior.
For this study, I have surveyed 16 different companies, and 150 individual workers had responded. The collection method was via web that once the individual logged, the respondent must finish all the questions to finish the survey completely. Therefore, all the questions were answered and there was no insincerity answering the questions that I made 150 individual as the subject to the analysis. The candidates must have two characteristic that the candidate must belong to the company with more than 100 co-works and to know the degree of procrastination, the candidate’s work must be controlled by team manager.
The methods were confidence analysis, frequency analysis, correlation analysis, T-test and regression analysis. The followings are the result from the analysis.
First of all, the procrastination behavior of work has no relationship with the gender, the class at the Job, the number of years at work. Second of all, the procrastination behavior of work showed solitude correlation between the problem avoidance and dependency which are the lower concept of irrational belief. Third of all, the procrastination behavior of work has non-solitude relation with “conscientiousness” and solitude relation with “openness” which are lower aspect of “Big 5”
Conclusively, an individual who procrastinate the work has tendency of problem avoidance (lower aspect of irrational belief) and dependency to others and characteristically has lower conscientiousness and high rate of openness (lower aspect of Big 5). The individual, with high tendency 4 aspects of procrastination the work, show the following features. 1. Due to the lack of eagerness to execute the work, the individual does not go forward the work, even though he knows that the work should be done within the schedule. 2. When given the work, the individual knows that he must proceed with the work but he does the preferred work only. In addition, when the work is not preferable he has tendency of high complains 3.The individual usually overestimate himself and therefore, he considers himself of being not capable of doing the insignificant work at all and therefore, he thinks that company is not fully make use of him. He criticizes the HR system, comments the future of the company and etc. But he usually does not finish the work on time. 4 The individual consider his supervisor or senior as the one should render an aid to his work. If they do not give a hand, he bears a grudge against them instead of his inability at work and becomes negligent to increase his ability. 5. However, when supervisor or senior give an advice or plan out for him, the individual does not usually take an action. 6. In order to achieve an excellent work level, he values others comments and methods and he spend too much of his time to gather the data. Therefore, the work time becomes less for him that the work gets slower or usually overdue. 7. The individual spend most of his energy and efforts to give a meaning of the work and why company should pursue the work instead of planning and executing the actual work. 8. The individual sees the minor issues at the work as the insignificant and useless, therefore he refuses to do. But he seeks the answer to the unrealistic problems at work. 9. The individual seems to have a wide scope of the work but he sees only the problem without the conclusion that he cannot produce any solid-workable result. Naturally, we speculate that the individual seeks the reason for his postponement work behavior
