1990년대 북한의 ‘사회주의 현실주제’ 단편소설 연구 : 『조선문학』을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 북한의 조선작가동맹 중앙위원회 기관지이자, 대표적인 월간종합문예지인 『조선문학』에 실린 ‘사회주의 현실주제’ 단편소설 215편을 기본 자료로 하여, 1990년대 ‘사회주의 현실주제’ 단편소설의 전개양상을 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
본 논문은 첫째, 1990년대 북한의 정세 변화에 따른 문학적 전개양상을 짚어내며, 둘째, 북한의 현실을 비교적 사실적으로 다룬 장르적 특성에 입각해 북한의 1990년대 현실이 어떻게 문학에 반영되었는지 살피고, 셋째, 1990년대 북한의 구체적인 문학사를 직접적으로 접할 수 없는 현실에서 1990년대 북한 문학의 흐름을 부분적으로나마 파악하는데 주안점을 두었다.
이 논문의 Ⅱ장에서는 1990년대 북한의 문학적 특성이 시대적 상황과 매우 밀접하다고 전제하고 1990년대를 1990년대 초반기, 중반기, 하반기로 세분화하여 각 시기의 정치·사회적인 상황을 기술하였다. 또한 헌법 개정 사항도 그 해당 시기에 첨가하여 서술하였다. Ⅲ장은 Ⅱ장의 시기구분을 바탕으로 하여 1990년대 초반기, 중반기, 하반기의 『조선문학』에 실린 ‘사회주의 현실주제’ 단편소설의 전개양상을 인물, 갈등, 주제의 측면으로 구분하여 고찰하였다. 1990년대 초반기에는 사회주의 붕괴와 통치권이양의 움직임이 ‘사회주의 현실주제’ 단편소설에 계속 반영되는데, 특히 1980년대 현실주제 소설의 연장선상에서 생활의 다양한 모습이 어떻게 드러나는지 기술하였고, 1990년대 중반기는 김일성의 죽음과 ‘고난의 행군’으로 일컬어지는 경제난 속에서 ‘사회주의 현실주제’ 단편소설이 어떻게 변화하는지에 초점을 맞추어 서술하였다. 1990년대 하반기는 ‘강성대국’이라는 기치에 따라 이전 시기와 확연히 구분되는 ‘사회주의 현실주제’ 단편소설의 경향을 중심으로 기술하였다. 그리고 Ⅳ장에서는 앞에서 살펴보았던 1990년대 ‘사회주의 현실주제’ 단편소설의 의의를 짚어보았다.
『조선문학』에 실린 1990년대 ‘사회주의 현실주제’ 단편소설에 깔려있는 북한의 인간적인 갈등과 고민 등은 남북 상호간에 동질성을 부여하여 체제의 간격만큼이나 벌어진 남북 문학의 차이를 극복할 수 있게 해 줄 것이다. 이것은 ‘사회주의 현실주제’ 작품이 통일문학의 가능성을 확인시켜줌과 동시에 통일문학이 남북의 통일을 추동하는 힘이 될 수도 있다는 사실을 시사한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

『Joseon literature』 is an organ of Joseon writers league's central committee as well as a representative monthly comprehensive literary publication. This study chose 215 short novels with 'communistic realistic subject' in rJoseon literatures as the research subject, and it aims to identify how 'communistic realistic subject' had developed in 1990s' short novels.
First, in this study, I will identify how North Korean literature had developed according to political change of North Korea in 1990s. Second, I will consider how North Korean situation in 1990s had influenced in the literature based on the characteristic of a genre which treated relatively realistically North Korean situation. Third, I tried to identify at least partial flow of North Korean literature because it is impossible to access directly specific history of 1990s' North Korean literature.
In chapter II of this study, I assumed that the features of 1990s' North Korean literature was very close with North Korean situation of 1990s, I categorized 1990s into early 1990s, mid 1990s and late 1990s, and I illustrated political and social situation in each period. In addition, I added and delineated the articles of revision of the constitution to each period which was performed the revision of the constitution. In the chapter III, based on each period, I considered the development of short novels with 'communistic realistic subject' which were published in rjoseon literatureji in early 1990s, mid 1990s, and late 1990s. In novels of the early 1990s, the disruption of communism and the sign about hanover of the sovereign power continued to reflected on short novels with 'communistic realistic subject', and especially I described how various ways of life were revealed in the continuation with 1980s' novels with realistic subject. In novels of mid 1990s, I focused on and illustrated that how short novels with 'communistic realistic subject` changed in the death of Kim il-seong and economic difficulty called ' the march of suffering.' In novels of late 1990s, I focused on and delineated the trend of short novels with 'communistic realistic subject' which was clearly distinctive with previous periods by the flag of strong and prosperous nation, Moreover, in the chapter IV, I clarified the meaning of short novels with 'communistic realistic subject' in 1990s which I considered in previous chapters.
Short novels with 'communistic realistic subject' in rJoseon literatur ed show personal confliction and anguish of North Korean people, they contribute to some identity between North and South Koreans, and it might be helpful for overcoming differences between North and South Korean literature which are differed as same as difference from political systems. It shows that works with 'communistic realistic subject' might have the possibility of the literature of unified country, and the literature of unified country might be driving force for unification between North and South Korea.
