블로그 활용의 역기능에 관한 연구 : 싸이월드 미니홈피 중학생 이용자를 중심으로 = A Study on the Disfunction of Blog Application

국문 초록 (Abstract)

정보사회로 대변되는 새로운 사회의 도래는 컴퓨터와 인터넷을 중심으로 한 정보기술(IT)의 발달로 시작되었다. 또한 인터넷의 보편적 이용과 확산은 전체 미디어의 지형에 지대한 영향을 미치면서 크고 작은 변화를 동반한 새로운 현상들을 만들어 내고 있다. 그 중 주목받고 있는 현상 중의 하나가 블로그(blog) 문화이다.
불과 10년 전에는 그 이름도 생소했지만 이제 현대 사회의 인터넷 문화의 한 축으로 크게 자리 잡고 있는 블로그 문화는, 그 이면에 양적인 팽창과 함께 쓰레기 정보도 대량 양산되고 있으며 허위 사실 유포에 따른 여론 조작이나 개인 정보 및 사생활 침해 등의 부작용도 적지 않다. 현재 가장 많이 이용하고 있는 한국형 블로그 ‘싸이월드 미니홈피’는 초기에는 2, 30대 젊은이들이 많이 이용하였으나 시간이 흐르면서 10대 청소년 이용자들도 급증하기 시작했고, 그에 따라 블로그 문화가 10대 청소년들에게 미치는 영향도 크게 늘어나기 시작했다.
이에 본 연구에서는 블로그 문화에서 나타나는 여러 가지 역기능 가운데 ‘중학생’들이 ‘싸이월드 미니홈피’를 이용하면서 일반적으로 많이 겪게 되는 역기능의 요인을 추출하여 이 요인들이 이용 상의 만족도에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석해 보고자 하였다.
본 연구를 위해 문헌 연구와 관련 연구를 분석하여 그 결과를 통해 이용 동기 및 역기능 유형이 무엇인지를 연구하고 설문 조사를 통해 구체화하고자 하였다. 이를 통해 이용 동기 및 역기능의 유형별 행태에 대해 분석하여 연구 결과를 제시하고, 분석한 이용자들의 이용 동기 및 역기능 현상들이 이용 상의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 분석해 보았다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다.
우선 이용자의 인구통계학적 특성과 이용실태를 분석하였으며, 다음으로 이용 상의 동기요인 측정을 위하여 설문결과를 토대로 각 문항에 대한 신뢰도 검증을 하였다. 응답결과를 분석한 결과, 유행/패션(fashion/status) 표현요인, 정보공유요인, 네트워크 구축요인, 시간보내기(pass time)요인의 4개의 요인이 도출되었다.
앞의 요인분석과 신뢰도 분석에서 검증된 요인들이 싸이월드 미니홈피의 앞으로의 이용의도에 어느 정도의 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위하여 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 4개의 독립변수 모두가 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로 나타났다.
다음으로 다양한 역기능에 대해 분석해 보고자 설문결과를 토대로 각 문항에 대해 탐색적 요인분석을 실시한 결과, ‘지나친 염려 및 중독증세’, ‘지나친 사생활 노출욕구’, ‘내 개인정보의 유출’, ‘제 3자에 대한 비방’, ‘제 3자의 자료 불법 탑재’, ‘타인에 대한 지나친 관심’ 등의 6개의 역기능 요인을 확정하였다.
앞에서와 마찬가지로 싸이월드 미니홈피의 역기능이 앞으로의 이용의도에 얼마나 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위하여 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 통계적으로 유의성이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 역기능 정도는 싸이월드 미니홈피의 이용에 별다른 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 결론을 내릴 수 있다. 역기능은 인정하나 그렇다고 이용을 중지할 정도는 아니라는 의미이다.
이러한 결과를 중심으로 본 연구의 시사점, 제한점 및 앞으로의 연구 과제에 대해 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In the new society of the information (the information society) was started the developed information technique(IT) on the computer and the Internet. Also the internet user and diffusion of the Internet zone effect the terrain of the whole media that make new actual conditions. The blog culture represents one of the actual condition on public opinion.
In the past decade, this blog culture was small but, in this recent society of the blog culture is one huge part of cultural behavior. Therefore, the blog culture shows both positive and negative effects such as plenty of information, trash information, fake opinions and opened personal information. Currently, 'Cyworld Mini-homepage' is most popular blog in South Korea. When it comes at first, most user was 20 to 30s but nowadays this popularity flows to teenager, from that, the blog has huge effect to teenagers.
This study focuses on side effects of the blog culture which is 'Cyworld Mini-homepage' for middle school student. From the user behavior of 'Cyworld Mini-homepage', the research figure out pattern of the user and with this factor, analyze satisfactory of the user.
Based on analyzation of hazard literature research and relation research, this study reach to motive of the user and side effects and shows the research which it sees and question investigation it. With research result, it analyzes satisfactory degree of the user.
First of all it analyzed the population statistics quality and the use actual condition of the user. Next, for a user of motive factor measurement and the reliability verification against each question item with base question result it did. The result analyzes four things; the fashion/status expression factor, the information sharing factor, the network construction factor and the pass time factor. With verified factors as a sample, 'Cyworld Mini-homepage' has multiple regression analysis. As a result, it shows four independent variable.
Follow these steps, there are six factors which is executes a search factor analysis, the worry which goes to extremes and toxic symptoms, the private life exposure craving which goes to extremes, outflow of personal information inside, the secret process against the third person, the third volition data illegal loading, confronts to the others and the interest which goes to extremes.
With the disfunction of 'Cyworld Mini-homepage' examine with multiple regression analysis, in order to the result appeared with the fact that it is not consideration characteristic statistically. Disfunction factor does not effect to use 'Cyworld Mini-homepage'. Degree of side effect is not serious as to stop to use blog. As the research of suggestion and proposal, it shows the future research.
