좋은 수업 관점에서 본 초등학교 농구수업 분석

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 많은 초등학교 현장에서 이루어지고 있는 전통적인 수업의 문제점을 극복할 수 있는 대안의 형태로의 좋은 수업 방안 제시에 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 농구라는 하나의 종목을 선정하였다. 농구는 초등학교 고학년 아동의 신체 발달 및 운동 발달에 좋은 영향을 줄 수 있는 종목이다. 그래서 C, G지역에 근무하고 있는 초등학교 교사 10명(남 3명 여 7명, 담임 8명 비담임 2명)의 농구 수업을 분석과 수업자료 분석을 하여 좋은 수업과 관련한 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 수업 분석은 참여관찰 방법으로 비디오 촬영을 통하여 질적 분석의 과정, 전사, 주제별 약호화, 핵심 범주화의 단계로 진행되었다. 분석의 과정에서 전문가와 협의하여 Vickers(2004)의 행동훈련 특성과 의사결정 훈련 특성의 비교를 중심으로 한 조직화 된 분석개념틀을 사용하였다. 수업자료 분석에서는 박진우(2005), 백승관(2007)이 사용한 수업분석틀을 전문가와 협의하여 수정 후 참고하여 교사의 지도안을 분석하였고, 심층면담을 통해 참여관찰에서 나타난 전통적 농구 수업과 좋은 농구 수업을 실시한 교사들의 수업 전개 의도를 알아보고자 하였다. 이러한 과정을 통해 다음과 같은 연구 결론에 도달하였다.
첫째, 대부분의 교사들은 농구 수업 시 분습법적인 수업의 형태를 보이고, 학습자의 신체 변화에만 초점을 두는 교수 제시로 행동훈련 특성을 보여 부분적 수업, 암기 위주의 수업, 모방활동 중심 수업 등과 같은 전통적인 수업의 모습이 나타났다. 따라서 좋은 농구 수업을 하기 위해서는 실제 농구 경기를 통하여 핵심 인지 단서를 제공할 수 있는 의사결정 훈련 특성이 나타나는 전체적 수업, 인지적 수업, 실제적 수업 등의 좋은 수업을 하여야 한다.
둘째, 대다수의 교사들은 학습자의 수준차를 고려하지 못한 엄격한 구획 활동과 규칙으로 변이성이 적은 행동훈련 특성의 연습계획을 보여 연습중심 수업, 위계적인 수업, 수동적인 수업과 같은 전통적인 수업의 모습이 나타났다. 따라서 좋은 농구 수업을 하기 위해서는 경쟁적이고, 무수한 경기 상황에 적용 시킬 수 있는 경험을 통하여 경험적 수업, 협력적 수업, 발달적 수업 등의 좋은 수업을 하여야 한다.
셋째, 대부분의 교사들은 즉각적이면서 부적행동에 대한 피드백을 보이는 행동훈련 특성의 교사 중심 수업, 권위적 수업 등의 전통적인 수업의 모습이 나타났다. 따라서 좋은 농구 수업을 위해서는 스스로 오차를 발견하여 수정할 수 있는 기회를 제공해주는 의사결정 훈련특성의 인지적 수업, 반성적 수업 등과 같은 좋은 수업을 하여야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to present a plan for best practice in a type of alternative to overcome problems in a traditional instruction which has been conducted in a field of many elementary schools. To achieve such purpose, one event such as basketball was selected. Accordingly, by analyzing a basketball instruction by 10 elementary school teachers working at C, G region, the author tried to suggest a plan relating to the best practice. In terms of an instruction analysis, a method of video analysis was adopted. A process in analysis progressed with the stages of transcription, coding per subject, and core categorization. In the process of analysis, in a consultation with an expert, the author used an analysis frame which was organized on the basis of a comparison on characteristics of behavior training and decision-making training by Vickers(2004). Through an in-depth interview after the analysis, the author tried to find out the teachers' intention of developing an instruction. Through such data collection and analysis process, the following research conclusion was obtained.
First, most of the teachers showed the part learning methodology teaching styles in basketball and the behavior training characteristics lead by the instructors suggestions based only on the physical changes of the students, that the traditional teaching styles such as part to whole instruction, memorizing instruction, mimetic activities centered instruction, etc.
Hence in order to have the best practice in basketball plays, there should be good lessons such as holistic instruction, cognitive instruction, authentic instruction, etc. that reveals the decision making training characteristics which can provide evidence of the key recognitions through actual basketball games.
Second, most of the teachers showed the traditional instruction styles like the exercise centered instruction, the hierarchical instruction, and the passive instruction, and the practice plans with behavior training characteristics of low variations with strictly divided actions and rules which could not accommodate the differences in the levels of the students.
Therefore in order to have the best basketball practice, there should be experiential instruction, collaborative instruction, developmental instruction, etc. through the competitive games from which to gain experiences to apply in innumerable game situations.
Third, most of the teachers showed traditional instruction traits of behavior training oriented, teacher centered instruction characteristics and authoritative instruction, etc., that showed immediate reactionary feedback to the improper actions.
Hence for the best basketball practice, there should be good lessons such as the instructions the decision making training characteristics that promote recognitions, and the reflective instructions, which provides the students the opportunities to identify and correct the mistakes by themselves.
