This research intends to compare the recognition of nurture teachers who participate and do not participate in evaluation and authentication with respect to system of evaluation and authentication of nurture facilities which is fully implemented in 2006 to improve the qualitative level of nurture as well as importance and feasibility of index for evaluation and authentication in order to present efficient methods for introducing system of evaluation and authentication of nurture facilities in Korea.
The research issue established for this objective is as follows.
Research issue 1.What is the recognition of nurture teachers who participate and do not participate in evaluation and authentication with respect to system of evaluation and authentication?
Research issue 2.What is the recognition of nurture teachers who participate and do not participate in evaluation and authentication with respect to system of evaluation and operation?
Research issue 3.What is the recognition of nurture teachers who participate and do not participate in evaluation and authentication with respect to importance and feasibility of index for evaluation and authentication?
The target of this research is 130 evaluated and authenticated nurture teachers and 106 nurture teachers who are not evaluated and authenticated, both of whom are working in Seoul and Gyeonggi. To compare the recognition of nurture teachers who participate and do not participate in evaluation and authentication with respect to system of evaluation and authentication of nurture facilities, questionnaire was used for investigation. With respect to analysis of materials, χ2(Chi-square) verification and frequency analysis, t-test(verification)was implemented to compare the difference in the recognition of target of research.
The result of this research is summarized as follows.
First, checking the recognition of nurture teachers who participate and do not participate in evaluation and authentication with respect to system of evaluation and authentication, the former 86.2% recognized the necessity of system of evaluation and authentication higher than the latter 50.9%. The reason for the necessity of system of evaluation and authentication was mainly the qualitative improvement of program in nurture teachers who participate and do not participate in evaluation and authentication. The reason for unnecessity of system of evaluation and authentication was the opinion of those who do not participate in evaluation and authentication that demonstration administration may be caused for evaluation.
Second, nurture teachers who participate and do not participate in evaluation and authentication with respect to system of evaluation and authentication operation recognized that application for participation, own checking, observation on site and authentication deliberation were proper. However, they recognized that term of authentication and validity for 3 years is short and it should be elongated with constant instruction and management.
Third, with respect to the area that should be evaluated first in the 7 areas of index of evaluation and authentication of nurture facilities and the area that is most closely related to the quality of nurture, participating nurture teachers recognized interaction most. This is because they recognized that physical environment was improved through evaluation and authentication and the human environment, interaction is to be closely related to quality in the future. The nurture teachers who do not participate recognized nurture environment most.
Fourth, checking the importance and feasibility of nurture teachers who participate and do not participate in evaluation and authentication with respect to index for evaluation and authentication, the former showed higher recognition in importance and feasibility than the latter in all areas of index for evaluation and authentication. While importance of ‘space and personal furniture for nurture teacher’ ‘the composition activity of steering committee of nurture facilities’ were found to be high, feasibility was found to be low.
Surveying the supplementation, deletion, integrated opinion of each area for index of evaluation and authentication of nurture facilities, the specific standard for efficient space layout for index was required in area of nurture environment. The area of operation management required that the form necessary in index of evaluation and authentication should be provided in lump sum. The service regulation of workers required specific index of service hours, service allowance, security of substitute teacher, etc. The area of health and nutrition wanted the 'snack for baby' and 'meal for baby' to be integrated. The area of safety presented the opinion that vehicle operation system should be eliminated in terms of nation and the area of operation between family and community demanded the items that can flexibly operate the composition and activity of steering committee of nurture facilities depending on the sc
