This study is about the cause that affect Marriage Immigrant Couples' Conflict. I carried out literature analysis and questionnaire as the research method, and frequency analysis and crosstabulation of collected data with SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science)/12.0 for examination on population-sociological features of respondents. To grasp direct, indirect, and over all influence of the causes that explain marriage immigrant couples' conflict, I executed path analysis with LISREL8.52 program after multiple regression analysis.
The conclusion of this study are these : first, as general features that are shown from population-sociological features of respondents, most of them were in their twenties to thirties and unemployed high school graduates, their monthly income was under two million won, the period of time after wedding was under three years and have one child, they are from the country item of the others and believe buddhism, and nuclear families.
Second, the result of this study is different from preceding studies on account of there was no meaningful causes on economic status in couples' conflict. Also, among marriage immigrants, who can communicate with Korean people well, the period after wedding is long and are adopted to Korean culture have lots of conflict.
In the research item of the feeling of being excluded, as the result of that feeling, marriage immigrants who are full of confidence, take more private and public support and order feels excluding less, and who have their job feels social excluding less. On the other hand, who can communicate well and are adopted in Korean culture have more feelings of social excluding.
In the item of social conflict, when they get more feeling of depression, social conflict becomes worse, but private support shows negative causal relationships. If they feel more depression and social conflicts get worse, couples' conflict becomes harder, but when they get a lot of social support, the conflicts are diminished.
Third, the causes that influence social conflict and their order of absolute scale is in order of the feeling of depression(=.359), private support(=-.250), cultural adaptation(=.137) and social support in the path analysis result of the cause of couples' conflict. In detail of each variable, the feelings of depression is consisted with the direct influence(=.258) and the indirect influence(=.100), and its causal relationships were statistically meaningful.
In a path model on couples' conflict, variables that affect the feeling of social excluding were self-confidence, private support, social support, cultural adaptation, and variables of self-confidence, private support, social support, cultural adaptation showed negative and cultural adaptation showed positive correlation. In addition, the feelings of depression showed positive interaction with couples' conflict through the medium of social conflict, and the feelings of depression, private support, social support and cultural adaptation showed direct and positive correlation to couples' conflict.
Hence, this study suggest following conclusion from the research above :
As a social, cultural proposal, social atmosphere that tolerate marriage immigrants as a constituent member of this society and cultural environment and sympathy which make them live as a member of this society of Korea are need to be created.
In the aspect of economic support, it is needed social support that can make them work in better condition and wage through appropriate intercession and vocational training for specific ability for marriage immigrants before economic problems emerge as another variable of conflict.
As a proposal of the side of social welfare, programs that provide integrated service for marriage immigrants' socio-economic adaption which is linked with experts and agencies in each field of language, culture, law, medical care and counseling service is need to be prepared. For this, effective allotment of service and task among divisions that carry policies for marriage immigrants, and establishment of obvious goal are urgent, and operation of various programs of sub-department and appropriate service of experts in charge is necessary.
As a proposal for education of their children, systematical analysis on actual state of education, rearing, socio-economic adaption of their children(Kosian) that have real possibility to raise a social problem in future is needed.
Lastly, enactment of international marriage brokerage law is urgent. Now, we cannot leave it to the logic of free market that belongs to private realm of self-administration, and according to social necessity, suitable, politic intervention and regulation of the governments is formed.
Thus, as we see above, I hope new basis for development and takeoff of our society in this twenty-first century is created with each person, family, local community, and the governments' integration and search for suitable and active way to minimize causes of female marriage immigrants' couple conflict within this country is made up and let them live as a member of this society.
