This lays its purpose on ascertaining the influence of pro soccer coaches' leadership on empowerment, trust and organizational effectiveness, and what is important in this study is to present right directions for coaches' leadership and provide basic theoretical materials which can be a help in terms of strategic human resource management in organizations.
The whole soccer players in all of pro soccer teams as of 2007 were chosen as a population, and based on 382 available samples selected by random sampling, a statistics package, the SPSS WIN 15.0 was used for analysis. Analysis methods in detail are as below.
First, in order to test the validity of this study, exploratory factor analysis was conducted for variables such as empowerment, trust, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention, reliability was tested by calculating Cronbach's α.
Second, in order to examine the influence of pro soccer coaches' leadership on empowerment, trust, organizational effectiveness, multiple regression analysis was carried out, and also in order to find out the causal relational direction among variables, the path model was presented.
Based on the above research purposes and data analysis, the following conclusions were derived.
First, as a result of testing the influential power of pro soccer coaches' leadership on team members' empowerment, it was revealed that both transformational and transactional leadership have a significant effect on empowerment, while transformational leadership has a more significant effect.
Second, as a result of testing the influential power of pro soccer coaches' leadership on trust, it was revealed that both transformational and transactional leadership have a significant effect on trust on coaches, while the more transformational leadership coaches have, the more trust team members feel on them.
Third, as a result of testing the influential power of pro soccer coaches' leadership on organizational commitment, it was revealed that both transformational and transactional leadership have a significant effect on organizational commitment, while transformational leadership rather than transactional one has a larger effect.
Fourth, as a result of testing the influential power of pro soccer coaches' leadership on job satisfaction, it was revealed that both transformational and transactional leadership have a significant effect on job satisfaction, while transformational leadership rather than transactional one has a larger effect on job satisfaction.
Fifth, as a result of testing the influential power of pro soccer coaches' leadership on turnover intention, it was revealed that transformational leadership has a significantly negative (-) effect on turnover intention, while transactional one has no significant effect.
Sixth, as a result of testing the effect of pro soccer team members' empowerment and trust on their coaches on organizational commitment, it was revealed that both empowerment and trust have a significant effect on organizational commitment, while trust on coaches has a larger effect on the members' organizational commitment.
Seventh, as a result of testing the effect of pro soccer team members' empowerment and trust on their coaches on job satisfaction, it was revealed that both empowerment and trust have a significant effect on job satisfaction, while empowerment by coaches' power of organizing their members rather than the members' trust on coaches has a larger effect on leading the members' job satisfaction.
Eighth, as a result of testing the effect of pro soccer team members' empowerment and trust on their coaches on turnover intention, it was revealed that the less trust on coach, the more turnover intention, indicating a negative causal relationship, while empowerment has no significant effect on turnover intention.
Putting these results together, it was concluded that building up the sustainable trustworthy relationship between coaches and players and stimulating players' empowerment can enhance the players' organizational commitment and reduce their turnover intention.
