The purpose of this study is to examine whether 3C anti-bias educational activities using multicultural picture story books affect the decrease of the children's bias or not.
The questions of this study are as follows.
1. Do the 3C anti-bias educational activities using multicultural picture story books affect the decrease of the children's bias for race impact?
2. Do the 3C anti-bias educational activities using multicultural picture story books affect the decrease of the children's bias for appearance?
3. Do the 3C anti-bias educational activities using multicultural picture story books affect the decrease of the children's bias for disability impact?
4. Do the 3C anti-bias educational activities using multicultural picture story books affect the decrease of the children's bias for family composition impact?
The subjects of this study were five-years-old 60 children who attended H kindergarten in Daegu. The experimental group were 30 children and the comparison group were 30 children.
This study's tools were Yang, Mi Hyun(2000)'s interviews tool for inspecting the area of bias of「Analysis about the Domain of Perceived Bias by Children」and complemented by Ruy Sung Hee(2003)'s Tools for the measurement of children's bias.
For experimental treatment, the experimental group had 3C anti-bias educational activities of connecting, constructing, creating using multicultural picture story books enforced 16 times 8 weeks, comparison group didn't have 3C anti-bias educational activities Data analysis was carried out to average, standard deviation, parallel analysis.
The results of the study were as follows.
First, the 3C anti-bias educational activities using multicultural picture story books were effective to decrease the children's bias for race.
Second, the 3C anti-bias educational activities using multicultural picture story books were effective to decrease the children's bias for appearance.
Third, the 3C anti-bias educational activities using multicultural picture story books were effective to decrease the children's bias for disability.
Fourth, the 3C anti-bias educational activities using multicultural picture story books were effective to decrease the children's bias for family composition.
The results of this study suggest that the 3C anti-bias educational activities using multicultural picture story books can be applied to the early childhood education.

본 연구의 목적은 다문화 그림이야기책을 활용한 3C 반편견 교육활동이 유아의 편견감소에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 있다.
본 연구에서 다루고자 하는 연구문제는 다음과 같다.
1. 다문화 그림이야기책을 활용한 3C 반편견 교육활동이 유아의 인종에 대한 편견감소에 영향을 미칠 것인가?
2. 다문화 그림이야기책을 활용한 3C 반편견 교육활동이 유아의 외모에 대한 편견감소에 영향을 미칠 것인가?
3. 다문화 그림이야기책을 활용한 3C 반편견 교육활동이 유아의 장애에 대한 편견감소에 영향을 미칠 것인가?
4. 다문화 그림이야기책을 활용한 3C 반편견 교육활동이 유아의 가족구성에 대한 편견 감소에 영향을 미칠 것인가?
연구대상은 대구시에 소재하고 있는 H유치원의 만 5세 유아 60명을 실험집단 30명, 비교집단 30명으로 구성하였다.
연구도구로는 양미현(2000)의 「유아가 인식하는 편견의 영역분석」에서 사용한 편견의 영역 조사 면접 도구를 류성희(2003)가 수정하여 사용한 유아 편견 검사 도구를 수정 보완한 것을 사용하였다.
실험처치를 위해 실험집단은 다문화 그림이야기책을 활용하여 연결하기, 구성하기, 창의하기의 활동으로 반편견 교육활동을 8주간 16회를 실시하였고 비교집단은 다문화 그림이야기책을 활용하여 8주간 16회 실시하였으나 연결하기, 구성하기, 창의하기의 활동으로 반편견 교육활동이 이루어지지는 않았다. 자료 분석은 평균과 표준편차, 공분산분석을 실시하였다.
본 연구에 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 다문화 그림이야기책을 활용한 3C 반편견 교육활동이 유아의 인종에 대한 편견을 감소시키는데 효과가 있었다.
둘째, 다문화 그림이야기책을 활용한 3C 반편견 교육활동이 유아의 외모에 대한 편견을 감소시키는데 효과가 있었다.
셋째, 다문화 그림이야기책을 활용한 3C 반편견 교육활동이 유아의 장애에 대한 편견을 감소시키는데 효과가 있었다.
넷째, 다문화 그림이야기책을 활용한 3C 반편견 교육활동이 유아의 가족구성에 대한 편견을 감소시키는데 효과가 있었다.
이러한 연구결과는 유아기 다문화 그림이야기책을 활용한 3C 반편견 교육활동이 유아 교육 현장에 적용할 수 있음을 시사한다.
