음운의 변동 규칙과 한글 맞춤법 교육

국문 초록 (Abstract)

사람의 생각과 느낌을 외부의 틀과 연결해 서로 영향을 주고 받도록 하는 것이 우리가 쓰는 말과 글이다. 태어나면서부터 고유의 말과 글을 배우고 익히며 그것을 통해 자신의 생각이나 느낌을 드러내는 과정에 있어서 고유의 체계와 법칙을 지키는 것은 의사 소통에 있어서 기본이 되는 사항이다.현재 일선 학교에서는 입시위주의 교과 편성으로 인한 수업 시수의 부족과 딱딱한 문법 교육의 비효율적인 교수로 인해 맞춤법 교육과 관련하여 학생들의 학습 동기를 충분히 유발하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 맞춤법 파괴 및 오류 현상이 초·중 등학교 학생들뿐만 아니라 고등학교 학생들에서도 심각하게 나타나고 있다. 따라서 맞춤법을 포함한 기존의 문법 교육에 대한 편견을 버려야 함은 물론이고 맞춤법에 대한 정확한 이해와 함께 효율적이고 적극적인 교육이 이루어져야 한다.본 연구에서는 고등학교 2학년을 대상으로 한글 맞춤법 표기에 관한 사례조사를 실시하였으며, 사례조사의 이론적 기반으로 허 웅 선생의 ‘국어의 변동규칙과 한글 맞춤법’ (1985)의 원리에 대한 고찰과 이의 적용을 통해 사례조사 항목 분류 및 검증을 실시하였다.사례조사는 크게 두 부분으로 나누었는데, 첫째 맞춤법 사용 오류의 객관적 검증을 위해 한글 맞춤법 전 범위에 대한 문항별 평가과정을 통한 실태 조사를 실시하였다. 다음으로 실생활에서 자주 쓰이는 어휘 및 표현에 대한 실질적인 오류 현황을 분석하기 위해, 작문 과제를 부여한 후 이의 오류 실태를 분석하였다.오류 유형은 국어의 변동 규칙에 의거해 네 가지로 나누었다. 첫째, 보편적이고 필연적인 변동 현상에서 오류가 발생한 경우, 둘째, 한정적이고 필연적인 변동 현상에서 오류가 발생한 경우, 셋째, 임의적인 변동 현상에서 표준 발음법을 따르지 못해 오류가 생긴 경우, 넷째, 변동 규칙과 상관없이 단어의 원형을 파악하지 못해서 오류가 발생한 경우이다.이어 오류 원인을 분석한 결과 한글 맞춤법의 이원성, 한글 맞춤법의 예외와 허용이 많은 까다로운 규정의 문제, 학습자의 표준 발음법의 이해 부족, 맞춤법 교육의 부재 등을 꼽을 수 있었다.이에 따라 효율적인 맞춤법 지도를 위해서는 원인 분석에 따른 맞춤법 지도 내용과 문제 해결을 위한 효율적인 맞춤법 교육 방안을 실제 적용 가능한 사례로 제시하여, 본 연구결과의 보다 실질적인 현장 적용을 통한 효율적인 맞춤법 교육이 가능하도록 방향을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

We exchange our thoughts and emotions through speaking and writing which connect ourselves with outer circumstances. It becomes the basic to stick to the rules of specific systems in communicating in the passages of learning and expressing himself.Currently, schools are insufficient to induce motive to study orthography, because the curriculum is focused on the entrance exam and rooms for studying orthography is deficient.So, the destruction and mistakesis take place frequently among not only elimentary but highschool students. In accordance with it, more efficient and active teaching program is necessary with dismissing prejudice of existing orthography education.In this study, it operated the research of using korean orthography focused on second grade highschool student. Considering theoretical base of research, it applied doctor Hu-Woong''s ''The law of change in korean phonological structure of a word'' for classifying items of each results and verifying it.The types of mistakes is divided into four classes. First, in the course of general and nature situation, and second, of definitive and nature one, third, of optional for not following standard pronunciation methods, and last, not knowing the original shape of word.Instance investigation is divided into 2 portions. At first, it tested within the whole systems of Korean orthography with process of valuation for investigating the mistakes of the rules using an objective test. and second, for analyzingthe status of mistakes in real life with generally used vocabulary and expressions, writing test and its investigation is applied to.So its results can be helpful to make efficient teaching methods for students to learn. Subsequently, through the results of investigations, the general conditions of mistakes is used to analyze essential cause of wrong orthographical writing. And also, to look around the fundamental cause of problems in orthography educations at school within the 7th educational curriculums of national policy.At last, the applicable case studies with the abstract approach is represented to clear the serious problems of orthography education. And it will be helpful to program for making efficient and realistic educations curriculums in the educational circles of Korean language.
