This study was intended to search the degree of teamwork of social workers who worked at the social welfare center in Seoul that consisted of a cognitive, emotional and behavioral factors, and the degree of the social workers' emotional, maintenance and normative organization commitment degree, and to identify the influence of teamwork on the organization commitment. For the study, 4 hypotheses were established, and total questionnaires of 221 respondents in 22 social welfare centers located in Seoul(13 senior welfare centers and 9 community welfare centers) were used for a final analysis. In order to examine the influence of social worker's teamwork on the organization commitment, a multiple regression analysis was conducted by specifying the average of organization commitment and three aspects of organization commitment; emotional organization commitment, normative organization commitment and maintenance organization commitment as the dependent variable and the teamwork as the independent variable. The influence of teamwork on overall organization commitment and the organization commitment's each aspect was analyzed through the multiple regression analysis respectively. First of all, the hierarchical regression analysis which additionally inputted the teamwork variable after inputting the general characteristic variable (Model 1) was conducted. In Model 1 which didn't add the teamwork variable, the influence of the working period at the present workplace(p<.05) & growth needs(p<.01) and organization satisfaction(p<.001) on the emotional organization commitment was significant. That is, when the working period at the present workplace got longer, the growth needs got higher, and the organization satisfaction got higher, the emotional organization commitment was increased. The model explanation was 38.3% and it was statistically significant. In Model 2 which added the teamwork variable, the explanation changed by added teamwork variable was 5.1% and it was statistically significant. Accordingly, it was classified that the teamwork had the influence on the emotional organization commitment(p<.001). In Model 1 which didn't add the teamwork variable, there was the significance only in the influence of organization satisfaction on the normative organization commitment(p<.001). That is, it was indicated that when the organization satisfaction got high, the emotional organization commitment was high. At this time, the model explanation was 38.9% and it was statistically significant. In Model 2 which added the teamwork variable, the explanation changed by added teamwork variable was 1.7% and it was statistically significant. Accordingly, the influence of teamwork on the normative organization commitment was significant(p<.05). In Model 1 which didn't add the teamwork variable, only influence of organization satisfaction on the maintenance organization commitment was significant(p<.001). That is, when the organization satisfaction got high, the maintenance organization commitment was increased. At this time, the model explanation was 18.3% and it was statistically significant. In Model 2 which added the teamwork variable, he explanation changed by added teamwork variable was 1.5% and it was significant in p<.1. It was statistically supported at the general level. In Model 1 which didn't add the teamwork variable, it was indicated that the growth needs(p<.05) and organization satisfaction(p<.001) influenced the overall organization commitment. That is, when the growth needs got high and the organization satisfaction got high, the overall organization commitment was high. At this time, the model explanation was 43.2% and it was statistically significant. In Model 2 which added the teamwork variable, the explanation changed by added teamwork variable was 3.5% it was statistically significant(p<.05), Accordingly, it was indicated that the teamwork influenced the overall organization commitment. As the result of the study, Hypothesis 1 'The teamwork will positively influence the general organization commitment of social workers, Hypothesis 2 'The teamwork will positively influence the emotional aspect of the social workers' organization commitment, and Hypothesis 3 ''The teamwork will positively influence the normative aspect of the social workers' organization commitment' was adopted at the level of p<.05, p<.001 and p<.05 respectively. Hypothesis 4 ‘'The teamwork will positively influence the maintenance aspect of the social workers' organization commitment’ was statistically significant at the general level (p<.1).This study was focused on the teamwork which consisted of the emotional factor, cognitive factor and behavioral factor as the factors which influenced the social workers' organization commitment. Middle-class administrators and social workers were verified for the study. As the result of the analysis, it could be investigated that the teamwork significantly influenced the general organization commitment of social workers, and it largely influenced the emotional organization commitment and normative organization commitment. Because it classified the influence of the teamwork of social workers on the organization commitment, it was theoretically meaningful.Through the results of the study, a practical meaning for improving the social worker's organization commitment can be gained.Firstly, because the teamwork is analyzed as the most influential factor on the emotional aspect's organization commitment, there must be efforts to form the team's environment to enable team members to concentrate on the organization with attachment to the team.Secondly, because the teamwork significantly influences the normative aspect's organization commitment has been classified, there must be the center's efforts to enable the social workers to work sincerely in the team.Thirdly, as the teamwork has been classified as the important variable for improving the organization commitment, the centers must have the practical measures to improve the teamwork. the emotional teamwork training, conversation training suitable for the personality type identification and team building program must be provided in addition to the administrator and social workers' work responsibility. Also, the education programs for the social welfare center's characteristics must be researched. Finally, in the theoretical aspect of the study and the empirical study, the necessity of the following studies is proposed as follows.Firstly, the population of the study was limited to the social welfare centers located in Seoul. Accordingly, it is restrictive in interpreting that the broad region or nationwide social workers' recognition and opinions were reflected in the study. There must be the study targeting nationwide social workers.Secondly, there were many methods to measure the teamwork, but the teamwork was measured with the emotional, behavioral and cognitive factor in this study. If the influence of social workers' organization commitment is identified with various factors which measure the teamwork, it will seem to contribute to clearly recognize what the important managerial task is to improve the organization commitment.Thirdly, if the factor for the sound teamwork is studied, the healthy and sound teamwork will be attained so that it will have a positive influence on the social welfare center's efficient operation.
