Along with the expansion of service field, the service providers are also following this trend by expanding their realm of activity. In spite of this current trend, very few studies have been focused on this trend and almost no attention has been paid on the influence of service providers’ expertise and reputation on the willingness of purchasing the extended service product. This study selects the musical play as an entertainment service product and focus on the influence of service providers’ expertise and reputation on the intention of product purchase of the consumers. The consumers’ knowledge and the types of musical play have been used as mediating factors.Study results show that the service providers’ expertise and reputation have a positive influence the intention of product purchase. And The expertise of the service provider is more influential on watching public performance when the group has higher consumer knowledge. One more interesting result is that the expertise of service provider is less influential on large theater performance than on small theater performance in terms of willingness to watch. These results show that when it comes to the extension of service realm, more importance should be given on the expertise than on the reputation of the service providers. Therefore, for a successful service realm extension, it is recommended to focus on the expertise and professionalism of the extending field.
