After the settlement between Joseon(朝鮮) Ming (Chinese Dynasty) in a dispute, dispatching of messengers are facilited in a stabilized relationship.
The messenger of Ming is dispatched when special diplomatic affairs arose such as emperor's accession to the throne, birth of prince, installation of prince due to succeed the throne , proclamation of rules. On the official excursion of the messenger of Ming and the Joseon consular representative, they exchanged poetry about the landscape and customs of Joseon and with the collection of this anthology of poetry, titled
First, Second, according to the periods when Hwanghwajip(皇華集) was published, this study analyzed the forms and characteristics of their contents for each period.
① The classification based on the periods of its publication shows that Hwanghwajip(皇華集) was published on the basis of the years when the trips on private business were made; it was printed 14 times in the 15th century, 9 times in the 16th century, 9 times in the 17th century, and 2 times in the 18th century.
② It was found that in the 15th century, it was published not in the year of the trip, which was made in 1450, by way of exception, but in 1458, which was revealed in the imprint of the end of book, and that the volumes for the trips made between the year 1450 and 1582 were published altogether by the government in 1608.
③ The volumes of the year 1457, 1459, 1460, 1464, 1476, and 1488 were published in the corresponding year.
④ The volumes of the year 1492 and 1506 were bound together in one volume due to their small amount of prose in 1492.
⑤ The volumes of the year 1521 were published in 1522.⑥ The volumes of the year 1537, 1539, 1545, 1546, 1567, 1568, and 1573 were published in the corresponding year.
⑥ The volumes of the year 1582 were published in 1583, and ⑦the 1602 volumes were published as classified versions of Hwanghwajip in 1602 and 1603.
⑧ The volumes of the year 1606 were published in that year 1606.
⑨ The volumes from the year 1450 to 1582 were published by the government in 1608.
⑩ The volumes of the year 1626 were published in that year 1626, and the ones for 1636 in 1634.
⑪ King Youngjo wrote a foreword for Hwanghwajip in 1773.
⑫ The Royal Collection of Hwanghwajip was published in 1778.

Second, among the printed books of Hwanghwajip published before Imjinwaeran, totally 47 kinds were printed with movable metal type printing. 22 kinds of books in the 15th century and 21 kinds in the 16th century were printed with Chojugapinjabon(初鑄甲寅字本). Among the printed books of Hwanghwajip published after Imjinwaeran, totally 7 kinds were printed with movable metal type printing. One of them was printed with Samjugapinjabon(三鑄甲寅字本) and 2 kinds were printed with Hugiwungakinseochaejabon(後期芸閣印書體字本) in the 17th century. In the 18th century, 4 kinds were printed with Hugiwungakinseochaejabon(後期芸閣印書體字本) and 2 kinds were printed with movable wooden type printing. As for the books printed with movable wooden type printing after Imjinwaeran, totally 81 kinds were printed. 55 kinds were printed with Gapinjachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(甲寅字體訓鍊都監字本), one kind with Gapjinjachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(甲辰字體訓鍊都監字本), 25 kinds with Byeongjajachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(丙子字體訓鍊都監字本), and one kind were found manually copied.

third, the system for printed books of Hwanghwajip can be explained as follows according to the years they were published.
① The volumes of the year 1450 were published in 1458 and printed with Chojugapinjabon(初鑄甲寅字本), Gapinjachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(甲寅字體訓鍊都監字本), and Byeongjajachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(丙子字體訓鍊都監字本).
② The volumes of the year 1457 were published in 1457 and printed with Chojugapinjabon(初鑄甲寅字本), Gapinjachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(甲寅字體訓鍊都監字本), and Byeongjajachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(丙子字體訓鍊都監字本).
③ The volumes of the year 1459 were published in 1459 and printed with Chojugapinjabon(初鑄甲寅字本), Gapinjachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(甲寅字體訓鍊都監字本), and Byeongjajachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(丙子字體訓鍊都監字本).
④ The volumes of the year 1460 were published in 1460 and printed with Chojugapinjabon(初鑄甲寅字本), and Gapinjachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(甲寅字體訓鍊都監字本).
⑤ The volumes of the year 1464 were published in 1464 and printed with Chojugapinjabon(初鑄甲寅字本), Gapinjachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(甲寅字體訓鍊都監字本), and Gapjinjachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(甲辰字體訓鍊都監字本).
⑥ The volumes of the year 1476 were published in 1476 and printed with Chojugapinjabon(初鑄甲寅字本), Gapinjachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(甲寅字體訓鍊都監字本), and Byeongjajachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(丙子字體訓鍊都監字本).
⑦ The volumes of the year 1488 were published in 1488 and printed with Chojugapinjabon(初鑄甲寅字本), Gapinjachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(甲寅字體訓鍊都監字本), and Byeongjajachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(丙子字體訓鍊都監字本).
⑧ The volumes of the year 1492 and 1506 were bound together in one volume in 1492and printed with Chojugapinjabon(初鑄甲寅字本), and Gapinjachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(甲寅字體訓鍊都監字本).
⑨ The volumes of the year 1521 were published in 1522 and printed with Chojugapinjabon(初鑄甲寅字本), and Gapinjachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(甲寅字體訓鍊都監字本).
⑩ The volumes of the year 1537 were published in 1537 and printed with Chojugapinjabon(初鑄甲寅字本), Gapinjachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(甲寅字體訓鍊都監字本), and Byeongjajachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(丙子字體訓鍊都監字本).
⑪ The volumes of the year 1539 were published in 1539 and printed with Chojugapinjabon(初鑄甲寅字本), Gapinjachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(甲寅字體訓鍊都監字本), Byeongjajachae-Hunryeondogamjabon(丙子字體訓鍊都監字本), and were manually copied.
