통합적 미술활동이 유아의 언어능력에 미치는 영향

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 통합적 미술활동이 유아의 언어능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 목적을 두었다.
이와 같은 연구 목적에 따라 다음과 같은 연구 문제를 설정하였다.
1.통합적 미술활동이 유아의 언어능력에 영향을 미치는가?
1-1. 통합적 미술활동이 유아의 언어이해력에 미치는 영향은 어떠 한가?
1-2. 통합적 미술활동이 유아의 언어표현력에 미치는 영향은 어떠 한가?
2. 성별에 따라 언어능력에 차이가 있는가?
본 연구의 대상은 서울특별시에 위치한 S유치원, 만 5세 유아 2학급 총 40명의 유아를 대상으로 하였다. 실험집단 20명의 유아에게는 4주 동안 총 12회의 통합적 미술활동을 실시하였으며, 비교집단 20명의 유아에게는 4주 동안 총 12회의 유치원 생활주제에 맞추어 표현중심 미술활동을 실시하였다.
연구의 절차는 예비검사, 교사훈련, 사전검사 후 통합적 미술활동과 표현위주의 미술활동을 실시하고, 사후검사 순으로 이루어졌다. 사전검사에서 언어이해력과 언어표현력은 유아의 언어능력이 들어있는 선행검사 및 연구를 기초로 하여 장영애(1981)가 4~6세 수준에 맞게 제작한 도구를 사용하였다.
본 연구에서는 두 집단 간에 유아의 언어능력에 대한 동질성 여부를 검사하기 위하여 사전검사는 t검정으로 분석하였고, 사후검사의 자료 분석은 두 집단간의 사전-사후 점수 차이에 대한 t검정을 실시하였다.
본 연구의 결과, 통합적 미술활동은 유아의 언어능력에 긍정적인 영향을 가져왔다. 구체적으로 살펴보면 언어이해력, 언어표현력에서 실험집단은 비교집단과 유의미한 차이를 나타내었다. 그러나 성별에 있어서는 유의미한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is intended to identify the impact of integrated artistic activity on the linguistic ability of children.
For the research, following inquires were selected.
1. Does integrated artistic activity have an impact on the linguistic ability of children?
1-1. How does integrated artistic activity affect the linguistic comprehension of children?
1-2. How does integrated artistic activity affect the linguistic expression of children?
2. Does integrated artistic activity differ in its impact on the linguistic ability of children depending on sex?
This study was performed on 40 children from 2 classes of a kindergarten in Seoul. Twenty of them in the test group were given 12 times of integrated artistic activity in 4 weeks while the remaining 20 in the control group were 12 times of expression oriented artistic activity over the same period.
The procedure included preliminary test, teacher training, pre-test, integrated artistic activity, expression oriented activity and post-test in that order. Linguistic comprehension and linguistic expression in the pre-test used a tool designed by Young-ae Jang for 4 to 6 year old children based on previous test and study containing linguistic ability of children.
In the study, pre-test was analysed using t-test to determine whether the two groups are similar in their linguistic ability as a whole. For data analysis in the post-test, t-test was performed on the difference in the score between pre-test and post-test in the two groups.
Test results revealed that integrated artistic activity has a positive impact on the linguistic ability of children. Specifically, the test group showed significant difference in their linguistic comprehension and linguistic expression compared to the control group while showing no significant difference in sex.
