The purpose of this study lies in providing educational data from the educational field for parents and also letting them recognize the importance of Parents Role of Mother throughout understanding how Parents Role of Mother influence the sub-factors of Infant´s Emotional Quotient.
The establishment from this study based on the study of reference and preceding study were as follows :
1. How is the Parents Role of Mother according to infant's age and
gender?
2. How is the Infant´s Emotional Quotient according to infant's age and gender?
3. How is the Infant´s Emotional Quotient according to Parents Role of Mother?
This study surveys 400 children aged from 3 to 5 those who attend kinder gardens located in Daejeon and their mothers. The study tools used in this study are based on Mi-suk Hyeun's scale which is originated from the Quotient test of Parents Role(2004) and scale to evaluate preschool children's emotional intelligence(Kim, 1998) to figure out the Parents Role of Mother.
All analyses were conducted separatedly for analysing for collected data using SAS statistical software(SPSS WIN 13). The collected data are analyzed frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
The following conclusions are induced from the above research results.
First, the difference of the gender among infants in case of Parents Role of Mother is shown Rejection and Empathy and then the difference of the age among infants is indicated Enhancement and Empathy.
Second, infant´s Emotional Quotient indicated the difference of gender according to recognition of non-self emotion.
There is no significant difference but female infants are higher than male infants according to self emotional recognition, regulation of self emotion, regulation of non-self emotion.
Third, the more infants experience Enhancement, Flexibility, Acceptance the less they do Control, they have benefit to develop their Emotional Quotient.
Therefore, the Parents Role of Mother is positively related on Infant´s Emotional Quotient throughout the result obtained from this study. Through the result of this study, parents can help their infants grow and develop by positively perceiving the relation between Parents Role of Mother and Infant´s Emotional Quotient, and understanding the knowledge and attitude which are necessary for the interaction with infants.
