The purpose of this study is to compare that there are some differences some on the family health between family volunteering activity and non-family volunteering activity groups in the church(or Christian).
To fulfill this goal, I chose family-volunteer center in Christian Ethics Movement of Korea(Christian Life Center) and I elected five optional churches of the whole country. I executed postal investigation and visiting interview investigation through them. I applied total 183 parts that were analyzed with the statistical method on the investigation period, 2007 May 7th ~ May 27th to statistical.
The data gathered were used for Frequency analysis with SPSS Win Ver 12.0, technique statistical method like percentage, x2 inspection, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Turkey comparison that were used to analyze differences between two groups. The result of this survey was summarized as follows:
Firstly, the participation ratio of man in family volunteering activity showed higher frequency in male participating than general volunteering activity. The cases of man showed the higher status of family health, as compared with the cases of woman having experiences in the family volunteering activity. Most volunteers in their 30s to 40s are higher in the participation ratio. In their academic career, higher education persons over college graduate are higher in the participation ratio. In jobs, more professional jobs and salary men showed higher frequency in family volunteering activity than general volunteering activity.
Secondly, compared with the actual conditions between two groups, the average volunteering frequency of a month of non-family volunteering activity was more than that of family volunteering activity. but average volunteering hours of a turn of family volunteering activity were longer than that of non-family volunteering activity.
As to the participation motive, the altruism motive for helping other people was highest in two groups. Aa to the participation motive, unity of family was any meaningful difference between two groups.
Thirdly, through results from testing to t-test, family volunteering activity revealed significant differences in the positive change than non-family volunteering activity.
There are significant differences in solidarity of family and communication of family in volunteering activity experience on the family health. Family volunteering activity reveals positive influence in health of family.
On the study about solidarity of family and related factor, there are significant differences in male, higher education, specialized field. there are significant differences in individual motive, religious motive, inducement of others in volunteering time of a turn and volunteering motive.
On the study about communication of family and related factor, there are significant differences in male, higher education, specialized field. In volunteering time of a turn, volunteering frequence of average month, volunteering motive, there are significant differences in the altruism motive, individual motive, inducement of others.
Being based on such investigation result, I suggest the introduction and activation of family volunteering activity as follows:
One, churches have to introduce family volunteering activity program for health enhance of family, relationship improvement of family, prevent and cure of family problems in the church.
Two, churches have to share together resources of church in the local society through family volunteering activity. Churches will have to build community of local society together through increasing in quality of life.
Three, churches will have to develop various programs anticipating families together in family volunteering activity.par
