효과적인 RFID 시스템 구축을 위한 방법론적 모형 개발 = (A) methodological model for effective RFID system development

With development of RFID technology, medicine and national defense as well as logistics and distribution industries have tried to adopt RFID system. Small projects as well as large national projects have planned to adopt the new technology. However, a lot of companies that have promoted a RFID-based project have confronted many problems due to a lack of information about demonstration projects and absence of systematic guideline. Therefore, it's urgent to develop a practical and useful guideline for companies that have considered to adopt the RFID system.
This paper has developed a framework to adopt RFID system for practical use and suggested the adoption method by stage. Besides, it has pointed out barriers in adopting RFID system by framework and suggested how to get over them.
This paper can be divided into two sections; In the first section, a systematic RFID system adoption procedure has been defined through an analysis on demonstration projects and interview with an expert and the adoption method by stage has been suggested. In the second section, the barriers by framework have been investigated through a questionnaire survey on experts and the possible barriers by stage have been estimated. Furthermore, a guideline to overcome them has been suggested.
This paper has demonstrated how to minimize the entry barriers by suggesting a practical RFID adoption procedure through a study on the systematic adoption of the technology and how to get over the barriers that occur during the adoption of RFID system.
