Today, owing to the economic growth and the development of industrial technology, our lives are convenient and affluent, but the number of the spinal cord injured from traffic accidents, various industrial disasters and crashes is gradually growing. The spinal cord injuries bring about fatal troubles and the complications followed by it caused many early deaths in the past. These days, however, owing to the management of the spinal cord injured and the development of rehabilitation treatment, their life expectancy became to 80% of none disabled people.

Third, in vocational desire by disability degree, the limbs paralysis group, both legs paralysis group, and a part of the arms paralysis group, the limbs paralysis group and complete legs paralysis group, the limbs paralysis group and a part of the legs paralysis group, the limbs paralysis group and other groups all showed meaningful differences. In vocational training programs, the limbs paralysis group and complete legs paralysis group, the limbs paralysis group and other groups showed meaningful differences.
Fourth, in the vocational desire by transfer means, the survey showed that there are meaningful differences between groups. In the need of job and the vocational desire, it showed meaningful differences between groups. But it didn't show meaningful differences in vocational training programs.
Fifth, in the service agency desire by disability degree, Korea Employment Promotion Agency for the Disabled was the most preferred by complete legs paralysis group and labor welfare agency was preferred by the limbs paralysis group and complete legs paralysis group. Those who belong to the complete legs paralysis group and also want to utilize the disabled/social welfare center of all groups showed the highest rate.
The implication of social welfare based on this study is as follows. In order to raise the vocational desire, the need of job, and the acceptance of occupational training programs of the spinal cord injured, above all, it is important to support an education or programs. To strengthen the need of job, it is necessary to develop and support reeducation programs which make them see their occupational lives with a new meaning in their lives as well as the convenient facilities or the rehabilitation technological support. And by establishing individualized occupational rehabilitation programs by disability degree, along with the vocational training, expertise cultivation and the development of items for the spinal cord injured and the employment rehabilitation services are necessary.
Also, there are needs of the government expense support, the employment insurance support, the vocational training opportunities, and the strengthened information system on the no charge vocational training opportunities for the spinal cord injured. As the practical experience in the vocational training agency is low and concentrated for its awareness, there is a need of a systematic approach strategy
