스포츠 이벤트 사례와 기대효과 분석을 통한 지역사회 발전방안 = The Study of Development Plan in Local Area through the Case Research on Sports Event

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 경제적 효과, 국제적 입지 강화, 국민 화합 유도, 스포츠 관련 산업의 발달, 삶의 질 향상에 기여 등 많은 역할을 담당하는 스포츠이벤트를 스포츠와 관련된 재화(財貨) 및 서비스를 생산 및 유통하는 산업활동 측면에서 연구하고, 성공적 요인들을 비교분석 하여 지방자치단체시대에 지역사회 발전을 위한 스포츠이벤트 활성화 방안을 제시하고자 한다.
19세기는 경기 스포츠의 시대, 20세기 후반부터는 대중 스포츠의 시대라고 할 수 있다. 이의 배경에는 고도의 경제성장과 그것에 관계되는 지역사회의 산업화와 도시화가 그 중심일 것이다.
현대 스포츠의 가장 두드러지는 특성으로는 스포츠가 긴밀하게 체제에 통합되었다는 점을 꼽을 수 있다. 형식의 측면과 내용의 측면 모두에서 스포츠는 더 이상 조직화되고 경쟁적인 총체로서의 신체활동 만이 아닌 교육과 정치의 수단이 되었는가하면 과학의 증명된 사실로 존재하기도 한다.
따라서 본 논문은 국가 경제나 기업3의 이윤추구 및 경영활성화 정책으로 이용되기도 하고 지역경제 발전에도 빼놓을 수 없는 하나의 대상이 된 스포츠의 새로운 역할에 대해서 연구한다.
본 논문은 ‘스포츠이벤트란 스포츠 제반 활동을 통해서 목적을 가지고 특정한 기간에 특정한 장소를 대상으로 하는 모든 사람들을 직접적, 혹은 간접적으로 자극과 감동을 체험하게 하는 긍정적 측면의 모든 행사라고 한다.’라고 정의하며 지역사회 발전을 위한 지방경영시대의 새로운 스포츠이벤트의 개발전략은 무엇보다도 지방자치제의 효율성과 독자성이 존중되면서, 경제적 효과뿐만 아니라 사회문화적 효과도 거둘 수 있으며, 지역주민들의 입장과 이해가 우선되는 것을 결론으로 제시한다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze sports events which play a major role in encouraging economic effects and national reconciliation, raising Korea's profile in foreign countries and developing sports-related businesses with respect to industries producing and distributing sports-related goods and service. And this paper is to put forth ways to reinvigorate sports events for developing local communities in the age of local autonomy by a comparative analysis of successful cases.
The 19th century is regarded as the age of athlete`s sports and the late 20th century, the public's sports. The transition to the public's sports was possible because of high growth of economy and industrialization and urbanization of local communities.
The most noticeable characteristic of modern sports is that the sports was integrated into a social system. Sports is not only physical activity as organized and competitive, but also ways of education and politics in terms of both contents and forms. And it exists in the form of scientifically proven facts.
This paper analyzes a new role of sports which is used as a policy to bolster profits and management of national economy or businesses and which is essential for developing local economy.
This study defining sports events as all kinds of activities which make people experience stimulus and impression directly of indirectly through all sorts of activities forms a conclusion that the new development strategy of sports events in the age of local management for developing local communities will have economic and socio-cultural effects if local autonomy and its efficiency are respected and if local residents' position and their interests are placed first.
