구어 말뭉치에 나타난 '-겠-' 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글은 언중들이 사용하고 있는 실제 구어를 전사한 말뭉치 자료에 나타난 ‘-겠-’의 분포 양상과 의미·통사적 특징을 기술하고, 앞선 논자들에 의해 관용적 표현으로 처리된 ‘-겠-’의 의미를 분석하는 것이 목적이다.
이 글은 21세기 세종 계획의 결과물들 중 일상 대화를 중심으로 한 구어전사 말뭉치(1998～2003년)에서 선어말어미 ‘-겠-’이 나타나는 3,884개의 문장을 연구 대상으로 삼는다. 언중들이 실제 사용하고 있는 구어 말뭉치 자료가 가장 객관적인 자연언어라고 판단되므로, 실제 언어 현상을 보다 실질적이고 구체적으로 살피기 위해 구어 말뭉치 자료를 살필 필요가 있다. 앞선 연구에서는 연구자가 임의적인 문장을 통해 ‘-겠-’의 의미를 분석하였기 때문에 지금까지 실제 언중들이 사용하는 ‘-겠-’의 실태에 대한 조사와 분석이 이루어진 적이 없었다. 따라서 구어 말뭉치 자료에 나타난 ‘-겠-’의 분포를 용언 어간, 선어말어미, 어말어미와 결합하는 ‘-겠-’의 실현 양상을 찾아내어서 그 실태를 파악하려고 한다. 구어 전사 말뭉치에 나타난 일상 대화자료 중에서 ‘-겠-’이 사용된 부분의 대화문을 뽑아내어 ‘-겠-’이 어떤 형태들과 많이 결합하는지 그 빈도수를 조사하여 통계적으로 처리한다.
연구 방법으로는 먼저 선어말어미 ‘-겠-’이 사용되는 3,884개의 문장을 통해 어떤 용언 뒤에 분포하는지를 면밀하게 살펴서, 첫째는 ‘-겠-’과 결합하는 빈도수가 가장 많은 용언 10개를 뽑고, 둘째는 문장에서 ‘-겠-’이 어떤 선어말어미 뒤에 가장 많이 분포하는지를 하나씩 조사하며, 셋째는 선어말어미 ‘-겠-’ 뒤에 어떤 어말어미가 많이 결합하는지를 찾아낸다.
그리고 구어 말뭉치 자료에 사용된 선어말어미 ‘-겠-’의 의미 분석을 위해 먼저 그 분포 양상에 따라 의미를 분석하고, 이러한 분석을 바탕으로 ‘-겠-’의 의미를 크게 다섯 개의 의미범주로 구분한다. 앞선 연구에서 이른바 관용적 용법의 ‘-겠-’이라고 언급하여 그 의미를 분석하지 않았으나, 여기에서는 구어 말뭉치 자료에 사용된 모든 ‘-겠-’의 의미 분석를 분석 대상으로 삼는다.
마지막으로 선어말어미 ‘-겠-’의 통사 특성을 기술하기 위해, 주어의 인칭 제약, 시제 제약, 서술어 제약, 선어말어미 제약 등을 살펴봄으로써 ‘-겠-’의 의미와 통사 특성과의 관련성을 아울러 논의하게 될 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to describe the distribution aspect and meaning and a syntax feature of -keyss- in the actual spoken language worlds-bundle materials and look over the meaning of -keyss- that is idiomatic expression by the debaters who precede.
At the preceding research, Because the researcher made an analysis of -keyss- through optional sentence, Little is known about the investigation and the analysis of the -keyss- against the actual condition as yet.
Therefore It has been analyzed the realization aspect and the actual condition of -keyss- that was combined with a stem of a declinable word and prefinal ending and final ending in spoken language worlds-bundle materials
In chapter 2, It has been investigated the frequency possibility what kind of forms -keyss- used from among daily talk in spoken language transcription worlds-bundle materials was combined with and has been taken the statistics.
First, Observing that a prefinal ending -keyss- should have been ranged after what kind of declinable word and investigated what kind of prefinal ending was existed after -keyss- and found out that what kind of final ending combined with -keyss- frequently.
In chapter 3, The meaning of prefinal ending -keyss- has been analyzed according to distribution aspect and has been divided into 5 meaning category; guess, intention, politeness, confirmation, possibility.
At the preceding research, so-called an idiomatic expression -keyss- has been analyzed with confirmation or possibility
In chapter 4, The syntax quality of prefinal ending -keyss- has been divided into restriction by the subject and the person, restriction by the tense, restriction by the predicate, restriction by a prefinal ending and has been analyzed.
This study was described the distribution aspect and meaning and a syntax feature of -keyss- in the actual spoken language worlds-bundle materials and was looked over the meaning of -keyss- that is idiomatic expression by the debaters who precede.
