다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

Nowadays communicating properly in English is the number one aim for the English language education and therefore listening skill is the most required skill and the most fundamental skill when it comes to English communication development. Developing a listening skill is essential for a successful communication In order to develop the skill, the method through "shadowing" was sought.
In this thesis, shadowing technique was used as a method to develop listening skill and how these techniques affected the listening area were inspected.
This experiment was being done on the 1st year junior-high school students in Il-San. All the research was done in two ways, affective and cognitive area and affective area was based on participation and level of interests.
Especially the test on English listening was done through the exam Toeic Bridge and the results were measured beforehand and after.
As a result, the following outcome was achieved after few lessons through shadowing method.
First, a positive result was achieved through shadowing method although the students had a hard time giving a considerable amount of concentration but they showed some interests for the method and also showed a change of attitude towards English listening activities.
Second, they have improved their skills through shadowing method in both phonetic system and suprasegment and understood straightaway not to mention they showed interests in the lessons.
And also, their reading ability was developed as an extra through breaking up a sentence and trying to understand the structure of the sentence as a part of the shadowing method.
Basically the method has helped the students' English listening skill and their whole attitude and has stimulated their interests
And as a conclusion of the research and its process I have following proposals.
First of all, students in lower grade in junior high or students expecting an university entrance exam are concentrated heavily on reading skill only and listening skill development can be neglected But communication skill being the most basic ability in English, more time should be spent on it.
Second of all, all educators should spend more time on developing a method for listening study. If an educator is not aware of a proper method, naturally the lesson is not very effective and students will get lost. Even if the educator is aware of the importance of listening education and practices it, if a proper method is not known then again it is not very contructive.
Thirdly, the shadowing method should be done in a properly equipped language laboratory with individual head phones. So an equipped environmental condition is crucial. Education ministry should support for a better education environment.
Lastly we should develop and present suitable-standard listening materials and activity sheets considering all aspects of learners and being aware of a fact that students are in need of a suitable materials in their study for an effective learning experience, I expect an arrival of a good-quality shadowing methodic materials.
