현대시조의 생태학적 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 생태성의 문학적 의미와, 한국 생태시의 형성에 대해 간략히 정리한 후, 현대시조에 나타난 생태성의 의미를 밝혀, 이를 바탕으로 현대시조의 생태학적 양상을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
제 1 장에서는 연구의 필요성에 대해 언급한 후, 연구사를 검토하고, 본 연구의 범위와 방법을 제시하였다.
제 2 장에서는 생태학적 관점에서 문학의 의미를 밝혀 보았다. 생태문학은 생태계의 파괴를 드러내는 것뿐 아니라 자연과 인간이 하나라는 생태학적 인식을 바탕으로 하는 모든 작품을 포함한다. 현대시조도 이런 관점에서 출발하는 것이며, 생태학적 인식이라는 시조문학의 새로운 출발점을 찾은 것만으로도 그 의의는 충분하다.
제 3 장에서는 현대시조의 생태학적 양상에 대해 세 가지로 나누어 살펴보았다. 우선 ‘생태학적 불균형의 상태’에서는 ‘자연과 생태계의 파괴’, ‘물질·기계 문명에 대한 비판’, ‘생명 경시에 대한 위기의식’이라는 세 가지 관점에서 생태 위기에 대한 고발과 비판의 시조들을 살펴보았다. 인간에 의해 자연이 파괴되는 모습을 구체적으로 그리는 시조들과, 현대 문명의 폐해가 드러나는 시조들, 생명에 대한 위기의식과 그에 대한 성찰을 나타내는 시조들로 나누어 살펴보았다.
두 번째로 ‘생태학적 상상력의 확장’ 부분에서는 ‘자연에 대한 관조적 태도’를 가진 작품들과 ‘자연에 내재된 근원적인 생명력의 수용’에 초점을 맞춘 시조들을 살펴보았다. 시조의 소재인 자연이 이미 생태적인 것이며, 그러한 자연에 대해 관조적 태도를 취하거나 혹은 자연적 소재들이 가진 생명력의 본질을 깨닫는 과정이 이미 생태학적 인식의 과정이었다.
마지막으로 ‘생태학적 교감을 통한 합일의 과정’ 부분에서는 ‘자연과 인간의 합일’과 ‘생태학적 대안으로서의 여성성’이라는 두 부분으로 나누어 보았다. 먼저 생태학적 관점의 본질이 자연과 인간이 합일되는 과정이라는 것을 여러 시조들을 통해 살펴본 후에 ‘생태학적 대안으로서의 여성성’의 문제도 간단히 언급하였다. 생태학적 관점에서의 여성성은 자연의 생명력과 동일 선상에서 연구되어야 할 가치와 의미를 가지는 것이다. 앞으로 더욱 활발한 논의가 요구되는 부분이다.
제 4 장에서는 이상의 논의를 요약하고 정리하였다. 오늘날 생태성의 문제는 생존의 문제와 직결되는 것이다. 따라서 현대시조의 생태학적 연구는 현대시조의 새로운 가능성을 찾는 일이며, 문학적 가치를 높이는 일인 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study aims at analyzing the ecological aspect of a modern Korean verse by clarifying the literary meaning of ecology, and the meaning of the ecology which appeared in the modern Korean verse.
In chapter 1, it presented the range and method of research and examined researcher after making reference to the necessity of study.
In chapter 2, it clarified the literary meaning from the ecological point of view. Ecology literature is not only expressing destruction of an ecosystem but containing all the works which is based on the ecological recognition that the nature and the human are one. A modern Korean verse also start with such a viewpoint, and the meaning is enough since the new starting point of Korean verse literature, ecological recognition, was found.
In Chapter 3, it was examined after dividing the ecological aspect of a modern Korean verse. into three parts. First, the accusation to an ecology crisis, and the critical Korean verses were examined from three different point of view, 'destruction of an ecosystem and nature', 'criticism to material and machine civilization', 'the sense of impending crisis to life negligence' in the condition of 'an ecological imbalance'.
Korean verses which draw the figure of destroyed nature by human concretely, the Korean verse which expresses the evil of modern civilization, and the Korean verse which shows the sense of impending crisis to a life, and introspection about it were examined after being classified.
Secondly, in terms of an 'extension of ecological imagination power' portion, the work with 'contemplative attitude to the nature' and Korean verses which focused on 'the original vitality acceptance which inherent in nature' were examined. The nature which is the material of a Korean verse is already an ecological thing. Also, taking the contemplative attitude about such nature or the process of realizing the essence of vitality which natural materials have, were already the process of ecological recognition.
At the last, in a 'process of the union through ecological mutual response' portion, it divided two parts by 'the union of nature and a human being' and 'the feminity as an ecological alternative plan'. Through many Korean verses, it was examined that the essence of an ecological viewpoint is the process of nature and a human being's union. Moreover, the problem of 'the feminity as an ecological alternative plan' also mentioned simply. Feminity has the value and a meaning which should be studied on the same line with a natural vitality. It is the portion that more active argument is required in the future.
In chapter 4, argument was summarized and arranged. today's ecological problem is directly linked with the problem of survival. Therefore, ecological study of a modern Korean verse raises possibility and value of a modern Korean verse.
