This research aimed to examine and analyze musical characteristics of the composed children's songs so as to use in the early childhood educational institutes. Survey questionnaire was distributed to 50 preschool teachers and 50 daycare teachers of the three to five years old children in the early childhood institutes. Prize win nineteen children's songs were selected as their prefers in song teaching class for children in their teaching settings, and each songs was analyzed according to the musical characteristics like song length, complexity of tune, rhythm, piano accompaniment and of song texts. Representative features of the data showed that eighteen out of nineteen songs are the major scale, seventeen of 4/4 meter, and eight of vocal range of c′ to d″, the typical song length was 24 measures of quasi fast tempo, and syncopation and triples are common. Ascending melodic line with sixth intervals are frequent while mp, mf, f are commonly shown dynamics with polka accompaniment. Major song topics are 'Hope and dream' and 'Nature' as well. In conclusion, the results showed that most musical features but vocal range of the prized composed children's songs were recommendable for the future use of young children.
