지역예술문화와 지역경제 활성화 = A Study on the Regional Economy and the Regional Art Culture

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper analyzed how the art&culture has the effect on the regional economy.
For analyzing this effect, this paper searched the characteristic of regional art&culture, performing arts, management system and role of the regional Arts Center, and generally grasped the present cultural state of Jeollabuk-do.
For details, this paper analyzed how the planning project(performing arts, exhibition, education, etc.), rental business, budget for operating that Sori Arts Center of Jeollabuk-do, which has been 5 years since it was founded in 2001, has performed during one year had the effect on the regional economy.
This paper used the data of operating expenses of 2005(the most recent year), expenses for 78 planning projects, expenses of audience, and expenses for rental business, and calculated the effects of production, income, employment using an inter-industry relation table.
The economic effects are as follows;
Production effect is 12,314,266,144 Won.
Income effect is 4,837,974,086 Won.
Employment effect is 441 people.
Regretfully this paper does not contain the uncountable value-added effects that are followed by the expenses, incomes, and consumptions of many rental performances in Sori Arts Center of Jeollabuk-do.
Also, this paper does not deal with the visible and invisible economic effects that the performances had on making the district people happy, making them have sense of unity and self-conceit, improving the image of the district, and providing the other related industries with idea.
Although this paper has these limitations, it is significant because it proved that the Arts Center highly contributes to economic development of the district compared with the other industries.
In the future, it is necessary that we study strategically how Arts Center can meet the cultural demand of the district people and enhance the economic effects, and how can manage Sori Arts Center of Jeollabuk-do more efficiently.
