국문 초록 (Abstract)

모든 예술 가운데 무용이 갖는 대표적 특성중 하나는 인간의 움직임에 의존한다는 것이다. 무용은 인간의 신체 움직임에 의한 예술로서 가장 인간적인 예술이라고 할 수 있으며 움직임으로서 다양한 방법으로 표현된다.
현재까지 무용에 대한 연구는 다양한 측면에서 학문성을 제시하였지만, 무용 움직임에 대한 연구는 지속적 연구를 필요로 한다. 그 이유는 무용의 순간성, 일시성 때문에 그 의미를 파악하기에 어려움이 있으며 무용의 움직임을 세밀히 관찰하는데 난점이 있기 때문이다.
본질적으로 무용은 움직임의 연구가 주안점으로 보아도 과언이 아니기 때문에 더 깊은 연구를 필요로 하며, 이러한 요구에 따라 연구의 기초 자료 및 분석 체계로서 라반의 움직임 이론을 중요한 연구 도구로 응용하였다.
라반의 사상에 관한 저서 및 논문, 움직임 분석 이론에 관한 문헌들을 수집, 분류하여, 이론적으로 무용움직임에 미치는 효과와 무용움직임에 활용하여 증명해보았다.
라반의 움직임 분석은 인간의 신체적, 심리적, 정신적 움직임 연구를 통해서 인간의 심리를 잘 이해할 수 있고 움직임을 보다 조화롭게 형성하였다.
무용교육에서는 무용 움직임을 정확하게 관찰하고, 분석 묘사하는데 필요한 근거가 있어야하며, 움직임 분석에 대한 합리적이고 체계적인 분석도구와 논리적인 분석 방법의 적용이 절실히 요구됨에 따라 일부 뜻있는 무용가, 무용교사 등이 중요성을 인식하여 꾸준한 연구를 통해 움직임 분석에 좀 더 효과적인 방법을 찾아 부단히 노력하고 있다. 그러므로 라반의 움직임 이론이 무용움직임에 있어 바른 길잡이가 되며, 체계적인 연구를 통해서 우리나라 무용분야에 이론과 실기교육이 보다 발전되어야 한다고 생각된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

One of the representative characteristic of dance among all the characteristics of art is that dance depends on human movements. Dance is as art of human movements, can be said to be the most human-oriented art, and is expressed by the movements in various ways.
Until now, studies about dance have introduced some scientific results in diverse aspects, but especially the study about dance movements is needed continuous research. It's because instantness and transience of dance make one have difficulty in finding their meaning and it is hard to observe dance movements in detail.
Essentially, it is not too much to say that dance is all about study on human movements, so it is needed deeper research, therefore in order to meet this need, Laban's theory of human movements was applied to this study as an important research tool, that is as the basic material and analysis framework of the study.
The purpose of this study is to prove the effects of the principle of Laban on dance movements theoretically, through collecting and classifying the books and treatises about Laban's idea, and the literature about his human movements analysis theory, and then applying them to dance movements.
As a result, it was found that Laban's movements analysis helped one to understand well human psychology through study on physical, psychological, and mental movements of the human, and formed the movements more harmonically.
In dance education, there should be theoretical grounds necessary for more accurately observing, analysing and describing dance movements, and as rational and systematic analysis tools and logical analysis methods for movements analysis are keenly needed, such as some dancers and dancer instructors being aware of the necessary are making efforts to find out more effective methods for movements analysis through ceaseless research. Therefore, the researcher reached a conclusion that Laban's movements theory can be a good guide to dance movements, and the theoretical and practical education in the field of dance should be developed more through systematic research.
