This present study was conducted to examine the effects of reality therapy group counseling program on internal-external control, social skills and school adjustment of middle school students in institutional care. The present study utilized the program of Glasser`s Choice Theory which made by Kim, Sun-Up to accomplish this purpose. This program was conducted for 8 weeks, everytime of which was proceeded for 90 minutes with the middle school in institutional care in Kyoung-buk. The participants in the study was 13 boy's students and 13 girl's students. Among whom each 13 students were randomly assigned to the experimental group and the control group. The study also examined the internal-external control, social skills and school adjustment achievement motive of pre-test and post-test through the participants of the experimental group and the control group to prove the effect of program. ANCOVA was applied to prove the difference between groups. The result showed that reality therapy group counseling caused the improvement of internal-external control, social skills and school adjustment of middle school students in institutional care.
