This research shows the affirmative recognition change of normal infants towards developmental retardation ones through a juvenile play and a handicap experience in relation to a handicap.

We chose 60 pulpils under 6 years old of 2 classes at M kindergarten in Daegu city as the objects in this research.
The average age of the pulpils is 5 and a fourth years as of May 1st and there were no developmental retardation ones in these 2 classes.
The change of the recognition and the attitude of normal infants towards developmental retardation ones through a juvenile play and a handicap experience concerning a handicap causes the following conclusion.
First, the recognition and the attitude of the infants who performed a juvenile play as to a handicap towards developmental retardation ones have improved.
Second, the recognition and the attitude of the infants who performed a handicap experience towards developmental retardation ones have improved.
Third, the effectivness of the recognition and the attitude of normal infants who performed a juvenile play in relation to a handicap towards developmental retardation ones has continued.
Fourth, the recognition and the attitude of normal infants who performed a handicap experience towards developmental retardation ones have lasted.
Fifth, the recognition and the attitude between a juvenile play in relation to a handicap and a handicap experience towards developmental retardation ones are equal.
This study shows that a juvenile play concerning a handicap and a handicap experience are good ways for normal infants to understand and identify themselves with developmental retardation ones.
