recorded in 「Lenin Kichi」, 1938-53

The purpose of this study is to describe Korean Community in Central Asia, recorded in newspaper "Lenin Kichi" from 1938 to 1953.
The existing trend of Study on the Korean Community in Central Asia has been concentrated in social change of Korean Community around the Soviet Union collapse and deportation time. This is cased by the data which is possible is restricted. So the writer used the newspaper "Lenin Kichi" which is published in Soviet period(1938-1990) in Kazakhstan by Koryo Saram.
"Lenin Kichi" was issued with the object of propaganda. So the individuals in the newspapers are leaders in that community. Leaders in a community are intention point of that community. Consequently the individuals in "Lenin Kichi" reflects that community.
To know the Korean Community in Central Asia in Stalin era, this thesis will present the historical background through the news items.
Chapter Ⅱ will treat the Central Asia situation where the deportation happened. In 1920's Koryo Saram settled down as a national group in Far East. After deportation to brand-new soviet Central Asia they settled down in South part of Kazakhstan and there new life was begun. Chapter Ⅲ will treat the Korean Community and individuals in Central Asia recorded in "Lenin Kichi" This writer shared Stalin era in Central Asia with three parts: immediately after deportation(1938-1940), the Second World War(1941-1945), from the Second Word War to Stalin's death(1946-1953).
As a result of study the Korean leaders in Central Asia in Stalin era can be shared with two parts. The one is labors like Man-Sam Kim, who is engaged in agriculture. About them we can some informations at encyclopedia as socialism labor heros. Current Koryo Saram also regards them as heros. The other is intelligensia who was working at artists at theater and worked for a newspaper, or worked as administrators and agriculturist. These leaders were served as propagandists consciously or not.
After all, this thesis will identify that Koryo Saram leaders leaded their lives as members of the Soviet Society at everywhere in Central Asia from 1938 to 1953.
